It's true. The "dark water" system at Disneyland is all connected in a giant loop. It starts at Motorboat and Storybook, then both empty into the castle moat. Then it runs into Jungle Cruise, then Rivers of America. Pumps near the indian village sent it back to Motorboat and Storybook. Pumps in Cascade Peak supplied it's waterfalls and also the Beaver Valley area, both draining back into the RoA.

The term "dark water" is in contrast to the "clear water" system that is Sub Lagoon. I believe that Matterhorn, Small World, Pirates, and ... what do they call it now, Triton's Garden? ... are independent systems.

Lessons learned from this: at WDW, all water systems are independent Even the Castle Moat and Jungle Cruise, even though their docks are side by side, have a concrete wall to separate their waters so that either can be drained independent of the other.

Full details on the Disneyland system were published in The "E" Ticket in Spring 1994 ( No. 18 ).

add jungle and the moat to that network too... if it's green it's in the green water network.

i would do it as a dare backed by manager approval, and at least $100 dollars, i'd say i'd swim the enitre jungle for 500, but i'd wind up drowing... i'm a good swimmer, but not that good.

Give me a full body suit and I'll race you (yes I said eeww and ran earlier) but my competitive swimmer back ground always gets the better of me.

I saw someone try to swim the whole JC one time. I think they got as far as the African Veldt. The person gave up on the swim and instead started humping zebras. It was sweet.

Weeble what's the yardage on Jungle? It can't be more then 1000 yards...and that's cake to swim...-proudly displays her swimming ribbon 2nd place 1000 yd free...-

if you want to talk about green water you should have a look at San Francisco Bay its a greenish brown color...you try goin into that water and youre not gonna come out of it the same...i heard that the water pollution is due to in part from the gold rush and that its not safe to eat the fish that live in the bay due to "unusually high mercury content" and at low tide its disgusting
