Honestly, I won't step foot in an airport for anything other then international travel these days because that's dealing with Customs and not the TSA (at least in some airports with international wings). I don't care how FAR it is, I've got a perfectly wonderful vehicle that gets good gas mileage. I've also learned it's far cheaper to drive myself and my husband.. plus our collective of crap (I pack like a girl, which has come in handy many times!) then it ever is to fly.

I haven't stepped foot in an airport since 9/11 and the new security measures, nor do any of my current plans require me too. Besides, we still have boats that cross the Atlantic. ;)

I'm screwed. The cruise ships only come from the Mainland once or twice a year and they don't take on passengers in Hawaii.

You're still dealing with the TSA no matter if you're domestic or international, although coming back from Vancouver, B.C., you clear customs in Canada, so if you had a connecting flight in the U.S., it is just like any other domestic flight, you land and go to your next gate, no dealing with customs and having to clear security again.

I have a Prius. Will drive nearly forever to avoid air travel.

Got to be more than just international; I'll gladly drive to Canada.

I do fly overseas, however, as the frequency of surface transportation just isn't sufficient to get me there and back in an acceptable time.

Plus even my Prius gets pretty lousy mileage when underwater.

Well if I want to go to WDW, I still need to fly. Otherwise, by the time I drove to Orlando, it would be time to turn around and go home! :)

I am hoping by 2013 to have my pilot license, with IFR. If I am able to do that as planned, I will have to warn you guys at DL to watch out. It will be difficult to keep Little Wallaby and me away.
