Scam Telephone Calls
Re: Scam Telephone Calls
I've gotten calls on my cell--no landline--that were either wrong numbers or suspicious. I check them out online, and if I don't like what I see--like a number from out of state, or one that's listed as a cell or landline but it's a company I've never heard of, and yes I investigate insofar as possible--I delete them.
Usually I miss calls anyway, because most occur when I'm either in a noisy area, like walking down the street, or in the library which tends to have spotty phone reception anyway. I had a flurry of phone calls like that a couple of months ago, but they've since stopped.
What kills me is that my phone number is on the Do Not Call list, and I still get calls. Yes, I know it's supposed to stop robocalls, but I think it should be extended to cover all sales calls.

Re: Scam Telephone Calls
Certain calls annoy me, but the campaign calls hold a special place. Our legislature always makes their own loopholes (no signs - except for campagin, Do not call lists (exception: campaign calls or non-profits).
I can't stand robocalls, but if it's a live caller, they get to meet our hard of hearing elderly aunt... or at least my best impression of her. If I'm not busy, I'll do my best to keep them going for as long as possible to waste their time. My oldest son has found it entertaining, and I've caught him doing it too.
If it's not going to stop, at least have fun with it. Which by the way was the slogan for the PAC shifts this weekend and the rain. My shoes are still drying out.

Parties of 33 should consider dividing their parties into two groups of 16 and a half each.

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

Re: Scam Telephone Calls
I had a call just this evening on my voice mail from an 800 number. The caller identified himself (don't remember the name) and then proceeded to tell me that he knew that I was presently experiencing one of the worst times of my life and that I should call and be added to the prayer list and counseling so that I could get my life back in order.
Who knew? I was tempted to call back just to find out what he had heard about me. I didn't even realize I was having a rough time. I do now though, and I'm worried. Here I thought I was enjoying my retirement. Image the shock to find out I am miserable and need religion (and probably a healthy deduction in my bank account) to get better. I am speechless! Gimme that damn phone. I need to call now!

Scour 419eater.com and you'll find some really fun questionnaires, though many are not fit to be reprinted here. :D:
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?
