Milne's stories, they were written to amuse his son Christopher Robin Milne, but when the stories were made public, poor Christopher Robin got teased mercilessly by the other kids and this lead to the relationship between father and son to be permanently damaged. :(
Aww, that's sad. :( Kids can be so ruthless.

No No No! My SIL went to elementary school with one of the two older kids, the boy I think. They went to different high schools, but hung within the same circles of friends.

One of the delights of living this long is finding out that it IS a Small World After All! That is very cool about your SIL.
My Pooh Connection? My friend from high school is married to actor Jim Cummings' nephew. He does Pooh's Voice :)

Wow who would have ever know I would see this picture on this board.
Living in North Bay I just saw this display this morning at the hospital and thought how cool it was that Lynn still lived here in this small little town. I get back to my office turn on the computer and happen upon this post. How weird.....

If my mother ever gets her book published I believe there are quite a few stories about me and my father. She just did a stand-up routine at the Erma Bombeck writer's conference about my dad-he wasn't there but knew what she was going to say. If mom gets to launch a second career as a writer and make a little money off it, what the hell, joke away.
While I'm at it I think I will give mom a shameless plug. Her blog is

My sister's CM friends always joke about how Piglet's shirt looks like bacon... Hmm...
I wonder where Piglet's mom went...
