Remember, this is the same company that disbanded (no pun intended) the Main Street Marching Band and dismissed all of it's long-term (and thus older) members, only to create a new band a year later composed entirely of younger performers.

And less expensive, no doubt, due to their lack of seniority! Companies all over pull that same stunt.

The usual scenario is the make sure to "downsize" one or two low seniority employees for every 50 or so high seniority employees. That way there aren't any EEOC complaints.
