Re: The Lone Ranger
I think he is a brilliant actor who makes movies successful that might otherwise not work. I groaned when I first heard that they were making a Pirates of the Caribbean movie but look how successful that was.

And it brought on some great Lego sets. Now I think some could have been better, but I am a fan of the ships. I have the Queen Anne's Revenge, which sits nicely next to the Brickbeard's Bounty and Imperial Flagship. They could have done a better job on the Black Pearl, but I hope that she soon joins my fleet. I think I'll officially have an armada! Now if they can do the Flying Dutchman, and not just in the spongebob line...DonutGoddess wrote:I think he is a brilliant actor who makes movies successful that might otherwise not work. I may have, perhaps, been a little too hard on her as it's obvious her heart has been broken. But I also believe in being realistic and the situation cried out for tough love.Main Streeter wrote:ROFL hobie, ONLY YOU could say this to DM. :D:

Holy Cow! Dark Shadow!!!???!!! I had no idea. I used to LOVE that show. It was so scary. And in re-runs when I was a kid they used to run it in the late afternoon so I could acutally watch it. I can't WAIT!!

Bah. Bring back Jay Silverheels. Had a huge crush on Silverheels when I was a kid. :) Major shock when I realized he was my grandpa's age. :p: Less of a shock to discover his real name -- Harold J. Smith -- or that he was Canadian.hobie16 wrote:Here's the first picture of Johnny Depp as Tonto.
And how does Depp manage to look so young as Barnabas Collins?

How can we NOT have a "shhh!" smilie in our collection? You know the finger to the lips?

Re: The Lone Ranger
Jay Silverheels was on Johnny Carson and, of course, they did a skit. The set up was that Tonto had retired and was being interviewed. When asked how long he had been with the Lone Ranger he replied, "Forty years. Forty miserable years."shilohmm wrote:Bah. Bring back Jay Silverheels.
