If Main Street is closed, then how do guest get to other areas of the park?

I've been there when it was crowded. I bet they do the same thing they did then to help guests leave the park. We were routed through the backstage area.

When the President came the other week they used the Main Street bypass to get guests to the rest of the park. Guests were routed through the gate by Tony's to the gate by Buzz Lightyear. Normally it is pretty ugly back there being a parking lot, loading areas, and the like but I saw a picture where they prettied it up pretty well using large planters, parade floats, etc. I assume if they close it again they'll do the same thing.
