The guy who posted the video is occasional poster on this site. I think last time we heard from him he may have been promoting his book. I don't know if he is still around...monorail audrey wrote:This is my first post :)
Anyways how is this possible? Watch this video http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri= ... kDMzJvsF-E
I know this video was shot a while ago but how we're these people able to do it. When dressed in street clothes I'm usually asked for my cm id 3 out of 4 times, probably because I look like a sg lol.
I'm not sure if this has been shown on sgt before but I just thought I'd share it with you guys

Re: Guest Gains Access To Utillidoors
Some doors do require RFID to access. Policies on such range from making perfect sense (e.g. allowing only certain cast members into communications equipment rooms, and putting only those Cast Members on the access list) to completely absurd (e.g. Stores Cast Members aren't supposed to go into stockrooms, regardless of the clearances the Cast Member may have, unless they are working a Lead shift or a Stock Replenishment shift. Even if the situation calls for stockroom entry, such as putting away hangers and ink tags, CMs who are scheduled as cashiers are only supposed to enter the stockroom after a Lead or Stock CM opens the door. When one of the more uptight Leads saw me letting myself in to put away hangers, he told me to pretend I didn't have stockroom access and to have a Lead or Stock CM open the door for me. :rolleyes :) .Mr. D. wrote:This is why they should use RFID in CMs ID's that open the doors to back stage.

That sounds about right for corporate management mentality. LOL

That policy makes sense in that the less people that have access to the stockroom the less shrinkage can happen, but if you already have access...Alyssa3467 wrote:When one of the more uptight Leads saw me letting myself in to put away hangers, he told me to pretend I didn't have stockroom access and to have a Lead or Stock CM open the door for me. :rolleyes :) .

The goal is to put in DAK-style RFID turnstiles on all the cast entrances and have a guard there to help the guard speed up and be more accurate.

Re: Guest Gains Access To Utillidoors
I have Stock Replenishment knowledge, and the access required to perform the job in my area. If I'm scheduled in a different land or if someone from a different land is scheduled in my area, accommodations (which often involve defeating locking mechanisms or propping doors open which from a shrink/security standpoint shouldn't be propped open) have to be made. If I'm not in a Stock Replenishment role at the time, the aforementioned Leads don't want me opening those doors on my own. My opinion is that only people with access should be entering, and those who enter without access should always be escorted. I would also require exit scans as well as entry scans, so that there would theoretically be a way to know who is in the stockroom any given time. The task of putting away ink tags and hangers should thus be delegated to the Stock Replenishment team.

From what I've heard security was a lot looser in the past. So easier to get away with. Now somebody would say something, especially certain security hosts that won't even let costumed cast in without a thorough search...
I've gotta say it is interesting to see how the tunnels looked fifteen years ago compared to today. The maps are a bit more helpful than the signage on the walls.
And RFID access to the utilidors would be a pain, because they would probably restrict it to MK statused cast. Meaning if you're transportation and statused at Westgate or picking up a PAC shift you're SOL and have to have help getting down.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?
