I didn't say it was "unfair" in the sense that you are defending. What I mean is that the end result, fair or unfair, is that a few are happy and a lot are not. What would the difference be, in this case?

Based on nothing but my own empirical observation, I don't see that only a few are happy and a lot are not. In fact, I've only seen the opposite. And of the unhappy portion, some of them are made happy through a little education.

That reminds me of the idea of CMs giving away a "free gift" to SGs they encounter that consists of a "limited edition" free t-shirt with the condition that they must immediately put it on. Other CMs would then see the unique SG shirt, recognize the SG as an SG and be able to avoid them / mentally prepare to deal with them. This could be even better!
