Is that a pin or an ice creme concoction?

You know the Disney Soda Fountain is RIGHT THERE where you'll be!
Let me know if you and Mrs. can meet us for an Ice Cream ;)
Ooo, I had not thought of that! That would be awesome! No idea what my schedule will be, and I might not until a few days in advance. I'll let you know if it's a possibility.

It would be great to see you both, but understand if time is too tight. Thinking it should be open, they only seem to close the Soda Fountain for the day of the Oscars (it is right across the street from the Red Carpet Entrance). Soda Fountain is right next to the El Capitan Theatre and the place where they
film Jimmy Kimmel's show. Graumann's is just across the street and on the corner, very close. They also have Madame Tussaud's on that corner if you have time ;)

That is SO perfect!
Congratulations!
(sadly it's the kind of card my mother would send, if in fact she did celebrate Christmas...)
have a great time on your trip (and be prepared for LAX if you've never been there...I wasn't prepared for it. . .(though actually that's not entirely true- hobie's advice about the buildings all branching out and stuff DID help!)

Thanks, Bru! I have to LA a few times, but even better, we won't have to worry about getting ourselves around. They're giving us a car service to get us everywhere.
In fact, we have our itinerary now, and they've been great about working with us to get us to the venue early -- so DM and anyone else, what say we meet? :D: How about Wednesday, Nov 2, 5:00 pm at the Disney Soda Fountain?

As it happens, my schedule has me open that day,So answer is yes :) Will need to double check last minute supervisor decisions, but 90% sure.
Was at Pin Event at Soda Fountain this AM. Mickey's Masterpiece is an Ice Cream Festival in a Mickey Sorcerer Hat
Keep us updated on plans/details. ;)

Purpie and I might be able to manage it, finances permitting. And I've been itching for some Dewar's Ice Cream for a LONG time (one of the few things I miss about living in Kern County.)

Oh, for cripes sake!
Grandmother decided that she needs to get a perm on Wednesday the 2nd. Grandmother's hairdresser decided to schedule other clients in Grandmother's usual appointment slot. Appointment for the perm? 1:30 PM. A perm takes at least two and a half hours, plus another 40 minutes round trip taking my Grandmother to the hair salon. By the time I get my Grandmother home that day, it'll be after 4 pm. Getting to Hollywood from behind the Orange Curtain at that time of day? Count on at least another 90 minutes. Plus money IS tight again this week...
tl;dr: Purpie and I won't be there after all.
