Okay, I know it's a joke, but it's a bit of a peeve: Gore never claimed to have invented the internet. What he said (in response to a specific question) was that he took the initiative in creating THE FUNDING for the internet. Which is entirely true.Big Wallaby wrote:So what does this do to Gore's account of the creation of the Internet?

Yes, and in politics, creating the funding is indistinguishable from creating the result.Amphigorey wrote:Okay, I know it's a joke, but it's a bit of a peeve: Gore never claimed to have invented the internet. Actual quote: "During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the internet."
Literally true when understood to mean funding, but so inartfully phrased that it cried out for lampooning.

Has anyone seen the Finding Nemo musical? My sister wants to go and see it.
I hope to catch up on the attractions and merchandise while we are there.

It's good, I enjoy it. All the shows at DAK are good IMO.turkeyham wrote:Has anyone seen the Finding Nemo musical? My sister wants to go and see it.

Yep! We had a great time, my kids loved it. I'd go see it again, and normally we don't do the shows.turkeyham wrote:Has anyone seen the Finding Nemo musical? My sister wants to go and see it.

Seen it, it's very well done. It's enjoyable on many levels -- I loved the artistry and technical stuff that went into all of the puppetry and effects, but the acting is so good that it's surprisingly easy to forget all of that and get lost in the story. And you leave humming the songs, which is usually a good sign!

We love it! We do the Tusker House lunch and get passes to the Nemo Show. That way we don't have to wait in that very long line.turkeyham wrote:Has anyone seen the Finding Nemo musical? My sister wants to go and see it.
