I've heard the football teams stay at All Stars, due to the number of kids on the teams (cheaper for them) and the cheerleaders "overflow" to the moderates.

I'm planning on going to their houses after they get back and running around screaming, banging on doors, etc.

My last two Christmas-time trips down were the same weeks as Pop Warner Week. My DME Bus from the airport was loaded with cheerleaders (oddly I have only seen a few Pop Warner Players during this same time) but luckily after our stop at Caribbean Beach 90% of the bus emptied and the final few remaining headed on to Kidani. Prior to that I had always come across the cheerleaders in the Spring during ESPN the weekend (my first couple of trips before becoming an APer). All I can say it that it is an experience to experience one time and one time only. I can only say that it must make for a busy week in the planning department because isn't that usually the same weekend they film the Christmas Parade?

Does anyone know what date the Christmas parade will be taped? We're visiting in early December and want to avoid MK that day.

The past two years it taped the weekend after thanksgiving (ie... First weekend in december). Hopefully the same this year. It wasnt that bad when I was there other than be redirected around Main Street and the Hub. And I believe they were done by the afternoon (i thought they started before the park officially opens).

And thanks Darph & Hobie. I've been lurking for about a week after navigating here thru a couple of other "profession venting forums" (i'm a pill pusher by trade and see my share of SGs - but we call them SPs). And cant wait to share some SG stories.

Thanks - that's what I thought, and I suppose it also depends on the weather. A rainy day is unacceptable for filming the Christmas Parade - what would guests think if Disney allowed it to rain on their parade? ;)

We went down for the parade taping 2 years ago. It was also Pop Warner. and was a disappointing trip. The weather did not coperate at all!. We had hours of rain each day. The cheerleaders mobbed the parks in the evening, and to cap it off, our day for the parade taping we got in the 2nd row, and after waiting 2 hours for things to begin, the entertainment turned out to be YANNI ! We hi tailed it out of there. The first Christmas party (thursday or friday) was pretty much rained out, and it appeared that they comped a lot of guests into the second Christmas party, on the Sunday night, as it was so crowded you could not move! And ALL the cheerleaders appeared to be there! Busier than we have seen MK in august! The waits for hot chocolate were 15-20 minutes at times. They had to redo the parade taping on the Sunday, which added a lot of bodies into the park as well.

Next time it will be the week after the parade taping!

could be worse. Last year while hanging out with friends around Noodle Terrace, all we could hear was Debbie Ryan (Suite Life on Deck) singing Santa Baby for 45 straight minutes. It now ranks up there with Jingle Bells and IASW for songs I would be happy if I never had to hear them again.
