Gunny wears NOTHING cheap! & as you know, he is a cool dude. :cool: He just had to wear very dark sunglasses & not take them off, even after we left Club 33.

Is he a Maui Jim's kinda guy? Every time my wife sez she needs a new pair of them my credit card screams out in pain.

Not quite. Mirrored sunglasses he couldn't wear in park. I love them! Very cool. He wouldn't pay those prices. Gotta notch it down a few for CMs hobie. :D:

I'm wearing prescription, progressive focus, PhotoGray lenses in a modified frame, and they didn't cost *that* much!

In the short term yes. Long term, the sun can wreck your eyes. I met a long time sailor who had been having eye problems. The doc told him he had fried his eyes from constant exposure. He now never goes outside without his shades on.

What's interesting is clear glasses do an okay job of blocking UVA and UVB. Obviously, the darker the lenses, the better the protection.
