toon town is still #1 for whistle stops, almost as frequent as Indy down times, it's becase out exit gates there are simpl as barnicles to operate.

They want to change out block light system to make it so that instead of giving the handsignal/call, we puch a button to turn the light green, which means we'll have intrusion, estop, ride stop, all kinds of fun stuff, and the console plans, look more complicated than the indy tower, , so maybe this'll mean autmatice gates or something, and we're going to have RAC too, it's soooo going to suck, if the push button system goes through, i might drop my Knowlege, it won't fit the attraction, theme-wise, effciency wise, anythingwise, i hope out manager figurs that out BEFORE it gets implimented. People are going to think that the trains aren't real because we have to puch a button to make it go...

Why do they have the tendancy to cross the ropes for a short cut and not just walk around it???
Because they see some either lazy, or running-late cast members doing it, and figure "oh, he/she let this person go ... so therefore, I can do it too!"

*giggle* But, guests, of course. Most CMs are usually frustrated with the guests, so I'm like: Yeah, I won't hate you, THIS TIME! JK.

Well, I know I do it quite often, walking against traffic, going under ropes, all that good crap. Keep in mind, I'm usually in, around, or have to go through NO Square. I walk against traffic because going OVER the bridge to get to Le Bat is a shorter route ... lazy? Maybe ... usually, I'm just running late... LOL.

I usually don't go through ropes unless a CM is nearby, and they SEE that I'm costumed, and need to get somewhere.

Yeah, I do feel kinda like a jerk WHEN I do, but you're right, I am one of the "most CMs" that is usually frustrated w/ guests, and don't really give a flying rat turd. But I still make the extra attempt to be nice to other CMs (unless they tick me off first), when I know that about half of them are thinking "great, she's acting like an ignorant guest ... some CMs"

I must say, I can be a real bitch when I'm doing Fantasmic GC. Some of you probably already know it..hahaha. I do NOT let people screw with me anymore. If the rest of your family has crawled or jumped over ropes when they shouldn't be and you are stuck on the other side when I catch you, TOUGH. You can go the RIGHT way and meet your family on the other side.

Speaking of that, I usually go to Entrances each night and work the Frontierland area split. The benches from that area are lined up all the way down the middle from the ATM/phones area to the end of the Shooting Gallery. As you know, people can only come IN to the area through Frontierland and only EXIT through Adventureland. If one wants to enter Advenureland, they must go down to the end of the benches and make a U-turn to come back up.

I swear, I could slap the countless people each week that give me crap for making them walk abut 20 feet around the benches to get to Adventureland. LAZY, LAZY, LAZY. Or the people that want to exit the area trying to go through Frontierland. ALL THEY HAVE TO DO is keep going through Adventureland and turn left to Main Street. My spiel usually goes like this (at the top of my lungs) "Please stay to your right, please keep moving, this is a walkway only. Please do NOT jump over the benches, they are there for a reason! Please be patient and thank you!"

It usually works despite the lazy bastards yelling back at you. Tonight, however, an enraged and rather large guest screamed to a CM at the Frontierland gate that she needed to get through. "THE ENTIRE PARK IS A FIRE HAZARD!" she screamed. "M'am," the CM replied, "if we didn't have one-way traffic and specific routes to exit out Fantasmic/Fireworks, it WOULD be a fire hazard." The guest proceeded to pick up a bench (which can be pretty heavy) and throw it towards the CM, and stomped her way to the Frontierland gates.

Oh, and did I mention there was a deaf woman actually sitting on the bench as the woman picked it up to throw it?

The WDW RR uses both an electric buzzer and a hand signal to start trains. It doesn't have to be all that complicated or out of theme unless the morons in charge can't handle simplicity.
... maybe this'll mean automatic gates or something....
Be glad you have latching gates at all. The WDW RR has swing gates on the exits, and we have to staff every station to keep the ignorant from wandering out onto the platform.
... we're going to have RAC too....
What's RAC?
it's soooo going to suck ... People are going to think that the trains aren't real because we have to push a button to make it go....
Even without a button guests ask how we make it sound like a real train....

Okay, okay. I know it's part of my job to provide appropriate smilies for this board, but this one was really tough. Hope it's good enough for y'all:
