As for board X, I always thought it referred to one board in particular, or at least for the most part.

We do sometimes say "Board Y" or "Board Z", but there is no actual meaning behind it.
It comes from our history, where people from the Board X's find out about this site, come over here and, instead of reading, you know, actual POSTS, they get offended over our name and some of the stories we occasionally tell. So as to not single anyone out, we just use "Board X".
If you ever post a link to any of the other boards to say, "Hey, look at this thing that this user of that board said," or something of that nature, I have a ball and chain ready for you.
Just sayin'.

No kidding! ;) Most of us "Board X Refugees" escaped to this board for a reason. Why would people want to go back and bring that stupidity here?
It's bad enough that it exists over there. I'd be looking for something that makes a bigger statement than a ball and chain...

Exactly! I found SGT because Board X actually posted a link to this place because someone mentioned it existed and there were 3 pages of "That's against the law", "Disney would never allow it", "They'd be fired immediately (or should be)", blah, blah, blah... They finally posted a link to shut everybody up.
I work in healthcare and have friends with resorts in Branson, Mo. If it weren't for HIPAA and my friends killing me... Oh, the stories.
