You know, now that you mention it...I do miss the Timekeeper. I was so impressed with how they managed to get that mechanical device to so closely mimic Robin Williams. I'm not talking about voice (for those that were about to correct me, I know it was Robin Williams), I'm talking about the physical gestures and mannerisms. It's almost like you could identify it with RW even if he wasn't speaking. That was a seriously under appreciated attraction.EpcotFan wrote:In the parks, it would have to be the Timekeeper. But outside the parks it would be the Adventurers Club. Kunglaloosh!

Captain Hook's Chicken Of The Sea Ship and Skull Island.

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

Re: What Attractions Do We Miss?
In addition to a number of those listed above, I miss:
The Mine Train Through Nature's Wonderland -- I know several who are building models of it, and every photo makes me sad.
The Flying Saucers -- because I never got to ride it.
Horizons -- or as some call it, "Carousel of Progress II". We have seen the future, but decided it wasn't interesting enough. Did you know that one of the Christmas cards on the mantle in Act IV of the CoP is from Tom, the submarine repairman from Horizons?
The Walt Disney World Railroad -- not that it's gone, but that I don't work there any more.
And despite my nick, the original Enchanted Tiki Room (with Offenbach).

Most certainly Alien Encounter, which I thought was pretty cool when I was 17. And one of its predecessors, Mission to Mars. Yes, I was 10 at the time, but I still thought it was cool.
And, though the attraction is still there, I kind of liked having the live spiels on Living with the Land. To get that, you have to take the Behind the Seeds tour (which was well worth the $16, by the way).

At Disneyland:
People Mover
Motor Boats
Mike Fink Keel Boats
Skyway
The Monorail Cafe at the DL Hotel
The original Carnation Ice Cream Parlour
The Disney Gallery
the Mary Blair tile murals that used to decorate the Tomorrowland entrance.
Star Tours-going to miss the original story and spiel!
At Walt Disney World:
Listen to the Land (the boat ride in the Land- miss the soundtrack)
Kitchen Kaberet
Horizons
Discovery Island (wish I had seen it)
The Animation Building at the Disney Studios-wish it was still a working studio
Adventures Club (I am really kicking myself for not going there when I last visited WDW in 1997.) :(

How could I forget the original Land boatride with live spiels?
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Re: What Attractions Do We Miss?
I just remembered another one- the old show at Animation (the Peter Pan one with Robin Williams). I LOVED that show

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!
