I understand that maybe early in the day you may not know how many are in your party, but towards park closing you SHOULD know. I can't count how times some groups did not know how many guests were with them at park closing. Hello?! You've been with them the whole day!

There's even reason for confusion there. If there are kids that are too short for some rides in their party then there will be a change in their party size all day. But when I've been in that situation, I've double checked how many are with us this time just before getting to the loading area. I even did that before I was a cast member.

Unfortunately it's not limited to just not knowing party size. I also work at a clothing store and when asking how many items they are taking it "um, I dunno" "x amount of shirts, x amount of pants" I want a total not each item. It takes them completely by surprise , yet every fitting room I've ever been into has asked how many items I had.

One of the best ones, which I got today was as follows
me- how many
guest- ya.....
me-sir, how many in your party?
guest- what was that?
--i then walk to the group in back of them , and let them go on in front of the first group--
AS the guest panicks
me- how many in your group
guest-um...um,.....1,2,3....4....i think we have 5...and a half
guests child- no we have four
me- how many in your party sir. :x
guest- we have 6, but I want to sit in front, and they can sit wherever they want!

The group was 8 by the way,....

I sware, are these people really this stupid, or do they just act this way because it is appealing...

no my friend's, the WORST is at Mickey's house. there are only so many people allowed in a room at a time and each room varies regard the maximum. groups of people will come in and tell me two people. when the door opens and it's time to let the flood in, they only counted the people that were going to be in the picture not mom and dad and grandma and grandpa, no. so i need to cut the grouping short and the people who thought they were going to be let in get pissed and the people i told to wait at the door get confused and step in front of the group i cut short and they get pissed at each other and i walk into the vault and let them duke it out and the family left standing gets to get their picture taken with the big cheese. while the other gets stepped on.

Well I don't work at Disneyland, but once I was there, at the Matterhorn no one was grouping the people to get them onto the ride, and the people themselves were trying to figure out who went in which car and it really was going slower then you could imagine and everyone was confused, so I decided to be aq grouper for a evening, and asked how many were in each party and all that, and I found out that it really is harder than it looks. (and only a couple of ppl asked if I really worked there)

AGAIN!!! I was grouping, and had a group come down and tell me "two, can we wait for the front?"
me: sure, row one
me: (to next group) how many?
them: two
me: row 7
me: (to next group) how many here?
them: two
me: row 8
(three people start walking by)
me: wait, how many in your party? all together?
them: oh, well it's us and them (points to 2 people in back of them)
me: five?
them: oh yeah.
me: make sure you say your entire group number
them: well, I said two because they did (points to two people on row 7)
:bang:
me: (to guests on row 7) come back! How many total? 7?
them: yes
me: ok, well, make sure you say your entire group number next time.
them: oh, well, we're with them too. (points to group of two on row 1)
me: so you have 9?
them: yes
me: well, I can keep you 7 together because they wanted row one. rows 5, 6, 7, 8. make sure you tell them your ENTIRE party number at any attraction. :throw:

I look at my rows, which are USUALLY double grouped, the majority of them are empty. ::prays for lots of groups of two::
me: (to next group) how many?
them: two
me: (yay!) row 3
them: oh, can we get the front?
me: :hammer:

by the way, hooray for the CM's that accompany their friends/family and correct them when they come down and say two, and the CM says, no, we have 5!!! I say, "thank you." They look at me and say, "I'm a cast member, I feel ya!!" God Luv You Guys!!!
