Hoping everything goes better for everyone.....
Still dealing with health stuff, nothing drastic but will be glad when things are straightened out :)
This was kind of a rough year,so next year HAS to be better
Enjoy your Family and Friends EVERYDAY,not just at the designated times.
Too much pressure to have on one day ;)

Things are good with me. I'm still at GMR (in fact, Jan 4th will mark one year since I started there).

It has been a very rough holiday season in my household. As I mentioned a while back my oldest daughter (28) has been haivng seizures. Since no definative answer from the doctors. They did find a cyst in the center of her brain. Now we wait to see if it is growing. But I refuse to let this spoil the holidays. All the kids and the grand will spend the night with me Christmas Eve and Christmas night so it will almost be like the old days. Christmas Eve presents of pajama's for all tomorrow.

Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays, as it may apply to you! :cat1:

Well, this year, there have been some downs. My father a few weeks ago fell of a ladder. Minor skull fracture (tests show that there was no damage to his brain and what little bleeding there was healed up), broken arm, and hairline fractures in one ankle. So, he's not really up for traveling about, and we have had to change plans from just having Christmas at my brother's to having me and his in-laws over during the early part of the day for Christmas, then packing up some of the food and presents and going down to visit my Mom and Dad at their home. Have to keep telling Dad, no, he didn't ruin Christmas...

In spite of this, and some of my friends having their own troubles, I'm trying not to let this Christmas be too "blue".

Huge hugs to everybody- and a couple musical holiday greetings from yours truly...(quick clips of me at the piano and then singing)

The general "no specific holiday greeting..."

The specific Christmas one...

I'm so sorry for all the losses and injuries and illnesses that we've collectively gone through this year (we miss you, Notatourist...) but I am really grateful for all the support you've given me through my own trials (this year i've been sicker than ever in my life before and i hope never to be again...) thanks to my SGT 'family' for everything!

love you all!

PS to Disneymom: THANK YOU! The card is gorgeous and was such a wonderful surprise. It is where I will be able to look at it for a long time. The pictures are so great too, thank you!!!

and to hobie...it appears that you know exactly what I'm up against here. . .

Unfortunately yes. I had a friend who's wife made the leap. I also worked for a company where the head of security was a Grand Wazoo or whatever they're called in the local church. He hired a bunch of people from the church with the apparent goal of converting the whole company. Senior management finally got enough complaints about more tract reading than work getting done and made some changes. I had fun going all pagan on a few who got in my face one too many times. The company Halloween party was a real hoot.

That's hilarious and reminds me of the time that I had an ardent...um...admirer at one of my jobs. He was the uncle of one of my coworkers, and she, knowing I wouldn't be interested even if I hadn't been involved with St. March already, tried to tell him everything she could think of about me to make him lose interest.

Among the tactics she tried, she told him I was goth, (I had the hair and I am that pale) she tried telling him I was gay (he didn't seem to care and actually was only encouraged...) then finally, I 'happened' to mention to him that everyone in my family was of this certain religious persuasion and...I never saw him again.

And you're not going to believe this. My mother actually sent the ministers from the church to my door today- I haven't seen them in more than twelve years and she told them that I wanted to go back and they should visit me! I informed them that I was sorry that she wasted their time, but apparently she misunderstood me when I said I was never going back.

You should have seen the look on their faces...

I stood up for myself, after all these years. I was calm, I was respectful, I was direct, and it was only after they left that my bloodpressure skyrocketed and I ranted awhile. But I'm better now.

And later I smiled thinking, yeah, I bet hobie would've been proud of me :D

Merry Christmas, everybody!

Absolutely!

I was asked to be a Jehovah's Witness one time but I said, "I can't. I didn't see the accident."

So Bru, is that REALLY you playing and singing. It was fantastic. I was singing Silent Night at chruch last night and since we weren't up in the choir chancel (my daughter and I both sing in the choir) I was trying really hard to listen to my own singing and it was SO off key. You were great. Hope you guys had a great day.
