Stupid Guest Tricks

Honestly, yes. Lots of props have vanished, though I'm not sure what proportion when out the back door rather than the front.

The one that bothered me the most was an old felt hat screwed to a peg at Main Street Station. It had about rotted off, and I managed to get it replaced. The following week somebody nicked the new one. I should have waited.

As for *why* that old hat bothered me -- it was the same style as the hat Walt can be seen wearing in several films of him playing on his backyard railroad, the Carolwood Pacific. Clearly a different hat, but still, to many of us on Main Street (and particularly the WDW RR), that was "Walt's hat".

I ask because I am writing piece of fiction and my characters are going to steal something from the DW. I could not think of anything small enough to be plausible or signifigant enough to be missed. (I wanted to steal Michalelangelo from SE, but come on, how you going to pull that off?)

I think its going to be the hat of Leota's crystal ball..... I'm quite intrigued by the notion of my theives needing to evade the "drop" and the intrusion alarms... so i'm leaning towards the ball.

Oh cool. So March, are you going head to head with Ridley Pearson? I've mostly enjoyed his books, but the whole "empty park after dark" thing is just hard to get past.

The first book wasn't too bad, but the scene inside IASW creeped me out. Gave me worse nighmares than "It".

This is interesting. I couldn't imagine trying to lean (or get out of) my doombuggy in order to grab Madame Leota's crystal ball. Guess that's why they're called stupid guests, huh? lol

March - how about the Bible in SE?....that's probably not nailed down and it's an important artifact.

Yeah, that is upsetting. Also very fitting to have that hanging in the station!
