I know someone who's in that parade, and I had also heard that it's the highest-rated daytime parade they've had in a while (other than the 3 o'clock parade, where no Guests can determine what time it starts :D :) I haven't participated in said parade, but it seems like fun if you've got folks who are really into it.
From what I have seen of it from WDW videos, its similar, but not the same thing.

Celebrate is basically Move It Shake It. The big difference is that Celebrate was our one and only "parade" and, well, it wasn't a parade.

Wasn't "Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It" better than "Celebrate! A Street Party?"

Wha happens to all the entertainment cms involved with the parade? Are they load off or do they go right into rehearsal for the new parade?

If they are lucky, they auditioned and already got a spot for "A Christmas Fantasy Parade." If not, then they are just S.O.L.

IMO it was. The biggest difference between them were the floats though there was a multitude of differences.

I would think the CMs in the parade just move to other areas, in WDW they are trained for other parades, so they have other options. Anyway, the Christmas parade here is pretty boring imo. It seems too long and the music gets repetitive real quick.

I love the Christmas parade here at Disneyland in California. Its gotten some nice upgrades and new floats over the years to keep things fresh.

This year I noticed a little upgrade, the aliens on Buzz's float move now.
