I haven't done any glow carts (thank god), but I have used an apron before. It's such a pain in the ass. Some lady came up to me and began to pay, and she was from England. She kept going on and on, using all these bad words in front of her kid, about how our money doesn't have different colors. All the mean while I'm standing here in the sun, not caring about what she is saying, and just want to get away from her quickly as possible. Is it really that hard to READ the numbers on the bills?ttztotdca50 wrote:ARGH this is EXACTLY the reason why nobody likes doing Glow carts! Stupid people that feel the need to steal! What's worse is that I've noticed a lot of Glow carts in DCA are in the direct center of the walkway--that's four sides that one cast member needs to cover! At least in DL they let us park against something--against a fence, a curb, a wall, etc.
Well, as far as I know, the only person they have depicted on British money is the Queen, so, when you consider it would be kind of difficult to tell one bill/note apart from the other.... Actually, I think most countries that have differant colors for differant denominations did it originally to assist the illiterate.5th Dimension wrote:I haven't done any glow carts (thank god), but I have used an apron before. I think the Ten has Alexander Hamilton, but the fifty has U.S. Grant.felinefan wrote: You could've pointed out that the one dollar bill has Washington on it, the five has Lincoln, the ten U.S. Grant, the twenty Andrew Jackson, I forget who's on the fifty, and Benjamin Franklin is on the hundred. As for the coins, Lincoln on the penny, Jefferson on the nickel, FDR on the dime, Washington on the quarter, I haven't seen a half dollar (do they still exist?) in decades; had Kennedy on it, and who's on the dollar coin depends on which one you have--either Susan B. Anthony or Sacajawea. It's not like they all look alike.
Interesting in theory Feline, but would describing all work for guests? NOT EVEN! They wouldn't listen, wouldn't comprehend, & waaay too much effort. ;)felinefan wrote:You could've pointed out that the one dollar bill has Washington on it, the five has Lincoln, the ten U.S.
Let's put it another way...Main Streeter wrote:Interesting in theory Feline, but would describing all work for guests? NOT EVEN! They wouldn't listen, wouldn't comprehend, & waaay too much effort. ;)
