Sweetie, you don't worry about me at all and just get better. :D:

Your stories are interesting, yes...

But you simply must stop acquiring them.

Then come to Disney World again.

Doctor* Wallaby is in.

*Not a real doctor, he just plays one on a forum in cyberspace.

Bru,
I just had a very good friend go through this exact procedure. She was recovering for a little while (not sure exactly how long) but she is thrilled with the results. Just like any surgery, she said the scariest part was the anticipation. Nevertheless, you are in my prayers.

Bru, here's hoping your surgery was successful and you will soon be back entertaining us with your stories. I cringe when I read the descriptions of your surgeries. I can't even stand using nose drops. Can't imagine what you've gone through, but I hope it ends soon! We miss you.
Hugs to you.

My 1000th post is to say...

I LIVE and I loves you guys!!!
(squishy hugs)

Been a rough week- the surgery went well but won't know what the doc says about real results until first follow up tomorrow. The anesthesia made me REALLY sick and it took me a long while to wake up (as they'd expected) that was the worst part of it. At least they gave me Versed so I don't remember even going into the OR this time, I'm over brave, I'm a wimp now after being awake for all those eye surgeries. They also used a smaller tube on me due to my general wish to keep my singing voice and they had to get a longer one anyway cause they said I had a 'long neck' *laugh*. Maybe I'm really a giraffe.

Of course the recovery period has been a rich tapestry of non-funness but hey, they say they got at least one source of the trouble so that's good.

I'm still supposed to have 14 more infusions to kill off the bone infection and any lingering sinus involvement from the OAC (and I've been patient but my GOD are we done yet??? It is so over for me- I am just done.) and then I have to see about more little bone reshaping procedures later with the maxillofacial guy (it's moving now that sinuses were moved- fun) before I can even consider getting something made to actually chew on. Waiting, waiting waiting...

But...but...but...

I ATE Olive Garden this week! I was so happy! Real food. Salad. Beautiful, beautiful salad!

What else...

oh yeah, you will not believe this.

Less than 24 hours after surgery- they came in and started reglazing the tub in the empty apartment next door to us. They wear respirators to do that...and there I was, all brand-new wide open nasal antrostomy (March says that word looks like 'astronomy' to him. I say it looks like 'atrocity'...) and all those noxious fumes and chemicals pouring in. Everything felt like it was on fire. Management's concern for my well being when I called them was...underwhelming. Basically, it was, "Well, we're doing it." *click*.

We had to evacuate. March had to come home from work, bundle up me and the cat and we had to go to...wait for it.

*whispers* My MOTHER'S.

Some of you more than others know why this was the worst part of the week for me.

I got out within an hour of the spray starting but my lungs were messed up for days afterward. They're only loosening up now. I could not frigging believe the timing. The poor cat is still stressed out.

I had to go out for my infusion during the day that day and I still only lasted the daylight hours over there- I had to come back or go to a hotel. I likely came home sooner than I should have (the smell lingered all weekend) but had no choice- I had to sleep.

Speaking of sleep, last night is the first solid night's sleep I've had since the month of March that was not completely narcotically pain-killer induced.

Glory be.

Have to dash- car will be here to take me to infusion soon. Ugh, this is costing such a fortune. I mean, like two weeks Royal Palm concierge at the Grand fortune...*le sigh* and no I couldn't afford that either.

thanks for thinking of me, will be back around and about as I'm up to it.

Can I please have my sign now???

huge hugs
bru

Congratulating on the sign! Kind of a "Here's your sign", but only in the good meaning of that phrase!

So glad to hear that you are on the mend! I'm sure the infusions are no fun either, but it sounds like there's a lite at the end of this rollercoaster! Your strength through all this has been inspiring.

You are so lucky to be able to enjoy Olive Garden. They closed down the ones here, maybe next time I am stateside I will be able to check one out.

I'm praying for a quick recovery for you!

I'm so sorry you're going through all of this. The apartment manager sounds like a real jerk, ugh. I'm sorry, I hope you are feeling better soon!
