You know, I actually had that same idea!

I thought it would be funny if at some point during the ride, probably while on a planet or something, that the Star Speeder would hit Jar Jar and the pilot would say something like, "Oh no! We hit a Gungan"

Of course, I know that would never happen, but it was a fun thought.

At Destination D, Disneyland president George Kalogridis revealed that the new Star Tours will have 54 different experiences.
I'd heard something along those lines, though I'm sure there's some calculating of combinations done in there... Kind of like how Indy has ride elements that can vary and thus when you do the math it has hundreds (or is it thousands?) of unique ride combinations, so you're pretty much guaranteed of never getting the *exact* same ride twice.

If ST2 can start off with one of 3 different scenes, that then lead into one of 3 scenarios, which then can be followed by one of 3 scenes, which all lead to one of 2 possible endings, that's 54 different combinations right there (3x3x3x2).

(You want multiple choices... Burger King says that there are about 221,000 different ways to create a Whopper...)

At Destination D, Tom Fitzgerald mentioned that George Lucas has been very involved with Star Tours 2.

I know that some people are worried about that fact, what with the bad prequels and all.

Though I don't think people need to worry. Star Tours has never been so much about story and continuity, its really more about the experience.

Yeah....so I'm not sure how I feel about this. It'll be either super awesome/hilarious or super lame. What a twist though.

Yeah, we'll just have to wait and see.

I just hope that this won't make the attraction's overall storyline too convoluted for people to follow.

Suddenly this picture makes more sense. It looks to me like this is how C-3PO is going to find his way into the Starspeeder...
