Transportation is free to all WDW Resort and Theme Park guests. If you stay at a Disney resort OR purchase theme park admission, we will provide complimentary transportation.

People need to stop thinking that WDW in general is their public playground or back yard. We are privately held land that serves as an international entertainment destination. No, your DVC card or CM ID or AP or even day park ticket do not entitle you to usage of everything we have to offer.

Violation of these policies can result in eviction and even trespass.

I can tell by your answer that you have to deal with the public as I do on a daily basis....I had a couple doozies today myself. Problem is that a place like Disney DOES seem like one big party place for alot of folks...since you can just walk right into a resort it seems to many that they can also partake of anything that resort has to offer. It's not right and I wouldn't do it but I can understand the mentality.

BTW, everyone is right about the transportation thingy.

There is, in my opinion, a huge difference between the transportation system, which may be used by anyone to access, say, a dining reservation at a resort, vs amenities such as pools (which is very definitely NOT okay) or playgrounds, at a particular resort. Resort hopping for drinks or meals is most certainly a permissable use of Disney Transportation, even for day guests. That being said, Board "X" frequently promotes visiting the beach at the Polynesian to experience the fireworks at MK. On par with the campground movies? hmmm.....

Then someone needs to tell Disney to change their website:

"Resort Transportation

Walt Disney World Resort offers an extensive transportation system that is complimentary for Disney Theme Park and Disney Resort hotel Guests. The system includes buses, monorails and boats that link together select Disney Theme Parks, Disney Water Parks, Disney Resort hotels and major shopping and recreation areas."

No where does this state anything about transportation being exclusively for on-site guests. It's merely stating that its free. This is also coming from the Resort Section of the site and is there to tell you want is is available to you.

So there is no reason to say Oh and by the way its free for off site guests also.

The boats at the GF have a sign stating: "this transportation is for resort guests only".

I don't want to get all Merriam–Webster here but :) ...

Define "Resort Guest". The entire 45 sq mile area is known as the Walt Disney World Resort.

So the second you step on the property and not doing anything that Disney doesn't want you to do you are a Guest of the Resort and therefor a Resort Guest.

So unless its says "Grand Floridian Resort Guests Only" your pic is not as much of a smoking gun as you would like. :( And even if it did, if I'm at the GF eating, shopping or just looking around am I not a Guest.

The transportation is available to all guests. Guests of the resorts and guests visiting the parks. If you stay at a non-WDW resort, you may use WDW transportation after you get on property. However, it's very narcissistic to believe you can utilize all the amenities at your resort and any WDW resort you wish. I always stay on site, and I have never thought of even going to another resort's pool or playground, let alone going to a resort off-site to play!! Personally, I would be very upset to arrive at a resort playground or pool and discover it had been overtaken by non-visitors. I paid to stay at that resort with the expectation of being one of a limited number of guests (so many rooms, each only holding X number of people).

If people would like their children to play at a playground or swim in a pool, I suggest they find a public facility or stay at the hotel/resort they chose as their sleeping facility.
