Also, anyone else think Garibaldi kinda looked like a cut-rate Bruce Willis?

Plenty of people. He used to get into Bruce Boxleightner's gated apartment complex by pretending to BE Bruce Willis.

I watched del Toro's "Hellboy" purely for the Lovecraftian goodness, of which there was plenty enough to delight me. There were Hounds of Tindalos, cultists trying to open a dimensional gate, and a genuine SHOGGOTH at the end.

If he injects a little Lovecraft into the Haunted Mansion (just a little, not too much - maybe a rat-thing, or a horribly angled room... something like that), I will be very happy. I might even squee a little.

No matter, I always thought he was cute. After doing a favor for one of my game industry buddies, I got to go on the set of Crusade (B5 spin-off) one day to watch them film, meet the writers. I got to see Delenn's cocoon thingie, which was interesting. Gary Cole was on-set that day; he looked pretty good.

The best part of the day, however, was getting to go play in their prop room with "Bear", the prop guy (seriously, do all Hollywood and stunt guys have these cool one-word names?). He let us hold their guns, which unlike the wimpy plastic Star Trek phasers, are all made out of machined metal. They were heavy. Bear told us the actors hated having to hold the guns while shooting, particularly when they'd have to freeze in place (so the FX guys could add in the laser beams, etc). It was a hoot.

I met Greg Aronowitz at the first Powermorphicon. My boyfriend talked his ear off for half an hour in a hallway. When I got home to New York I remembered who he WAS, and I kicked myself for letting Jake yammer at him the whole time about Power Rangers SPD, without at least getting him to say. "You have a hole in your mind!"
