The outrage is just ridiculous, and the part that really baffles me is that they see us getting wet and still manage to make it all about them...
I'm guessing she's worried because she'll melt like the Wicked Witch???

What do I do? Well, since I have a Canon Waterproof camera, I like to pull up a chair wherever I am at the parks and just take photos of the fools who fall from running trying to get to cover. Thats why I love being in the parks when a hurricane is passing over (Provided the park isn't closed because of it).
You should have said to her "After decades of rumors and theories, the company has invested in a weather dome for the parks. In the event the weather becomes to sever, the dome will keep the storms out of the parks!"

Hey, TinkerBell.....not only do I bring ponchos with us (dollar store variety) - we have a raincover for the stroller. Of course....that only works if you have it with you. In September, we were caught in a DOWNPOUR that lasted for an hour - we were stuck at the TTC and the parking lot was flooded it was so bad. That was the only day I failed to have the ponchos and cover with us - go figure! LOL

We got caught in a massive downpour at MK. Everyone else ran into the shops and under the eaves like they were made out of spun sugar but we figured it was JUST rain. It's not like it's going to melt you or hurt. So yeah, we looked like drowned rats but the kids had a great time puddle-jumping.

Years ago we got caught in a rainstorm at WDW, we bought the yellow ponchos like everyone else and used them for about an hour.
for several years after that we took them back with us. we maybe used them once or twice each trip.
then about four yers ago, we forgot them, and had to buy the new ones.
it had rained about 15 minutes then stopped, the ground was dry in about 10 minutes, and we realized that by the time we got the ponchos off, we were more wet from sweat that rain.
ten minutes later it started raining. since we were on our way to an attraction that was close by, we just said the heck with it and walked to it.
inside, we were dry in a few minutes.
now we just don't worry about it. if its coming down in buckets (rare) DW shops!! if its drizzle or light rain, we keep going. Especially since we already know our outfits only last a day of park fun anyway.

There was a day last month when a friend of mine and I were at MK going to Pirates. We knew we wouldn't make it so we, with purpose, marched to the Pirate Tutorial stage, found a spot to sit and watched the sever storm (Bad enough to close outside attractions for two hours) pass over. It was fun to watch people scamper through the area, then get stuck in the lake that formed in front of the ride because the drain in the area was clogged. Good times.

The Living Seas is a WONDERFUL place to be stuck during a downpour.
Just saying.
