Re: Bathroom ?? for CM's
One thread went 19 pages. The first two were mostly "so would I". That's as far as I went.
It must have gotten better deeper in to go that far.

Oh I did see that and there was a thread on the other board shortly thereafter. It was very amusing and I was surprised to read about all the things that will get you a GAC card like having an ADHD child. I was in total shock when I read that and completely disgusted that someone would insist on GAC for that. How about making your snowflake wait in line and learn how to control themselves. I am a special education teacher and would never make such absurd accommodations for an ADHD child.DisneyMom wrote:ADA asks for "equal access" not superior access, so unless you were to use the bathroom for an unusual amount of time, preventing someone else from using the bathroom entirely, I don't see a problem. Of course, if I see someone waiting for it who obviously needs THAT bathroom, I would step back and offer to let them go first, common sense and politeness should always prevail :)
On that note, Did anyone else hear Sherri Shepard on The View say that you got "Front of the Line" priveledges when you take a special needs child to Disney yesterday? I think Disney owns ABC, hopefully they set her straight![]()

I would have no problem with a mom with little kids using the family restrooms, isnt that what they are for? As far as the handicapped stalls, they are handicap accessable, not reserved. if there was someone who needed it I would let them use it before me, but if there is not someone with a dissability who needs it then it should be used by everyone when its needed. I think people who have no disability should opt for the non handicap accessable stalls first, but when they are all in use by all means use the empty stall.

When I have to take my daughter to the bathroom, I always use the handicap stall. Heck, if no one is waiting and I need to sit a spell, I'll go for that one. Usually cleaner, and very roomy! Plus they have those handles for those times when you really have to bear down.

Seriously, drink more water. Otherwise it'll be 'roid city later in life.

Yes, you cant use the bathrooms, but pool hoping and stealing soda is fine by them!David R wrote:They are considered "family bathrooms." You're fine.
That board amuses me, they have a strange code of ethics.
