WALL-E was actually done with his set, the line had been closed off and he was just about go backstage, but then his host spotted this boy and of course they just had to let him meet WALL-E.
I love WALL-E's reaction, as well as his host's. One of the photo pass CM's was cracking up!

Some official Disney camera crews were there as well, and I believe that they used this for some promotional material.
I just got to watch this, the link didn't work on my iPad for some reason. This has to be one of the best meets ever! Great video, thanks for posting!

Yeah, it is a great little device. It does what I need it to do, even have posted to SGT from it ;) The lack of flash has not bothered me at all.

I'm not so much a fan of Steve Jobs as I am of products that do what they are supposed to do :)

Tell me... ktulu, can you get Kongregate Games or Youtube Video on that thing without Flash?

Not having access to either of those sites, would be a definite point against my purchase of an iPad, and I'm waffling between that and a netbook.

There is an app for youtube, so you can watch those videos. It is one of the default apps that is installed with the OS. Since Kongregate uses flash, you would not be able to play those. I think there are enough games you can get that I'm sure you could find something to entertain yourself. I don't see the iPad as a replacement for a computer. I use it to get email, view my normal sites (none use flash), play games and keep myself organized.

I wouldn't see it as a replacement for a normal computer either... but then, neither is a netbook. If I can't play Kongregate... then I'm out....

But then, maybe that's because I make Flash apps for a living.

Meh... we'll do ok. Steve Jobs can declare us dead all he wants... HTML 5 doesn't offer the Animation tools, or interactivity possible with Flash. We'll survive just fine...

It's the Flash Video Encoders who are out of a job.

I don't mind flash, except when it sucks all the resources. I hear the fan spin up, and sure enough, flash is the culprit. I think there is a place for flash, but I would really like to see it better optimized. Then again, there are lots of things I'd like to see better optimized. Seems like we just keep throwing hardware at the problem.
