Re: Tower of terror fake photo
I've seen this before also and the other people sitting there are also a give away. I cant keep my arms down when ToT drops and almost everyone else is just sitting there and not floating.

Not only the belt and strap system would have stopped the system.
but sensors seeing movement where none is suppost to be would have made the computers halt the whole system and sound a alarm.
and yes, it is not really a freefall. they would have stopped like a OTIS elevator, and some neat sounds would have been heard right after that. let a little bird get loose in there once and see how fast the computer sees it. :D:

LOL, I was just going to mention that. I remember hearing the ride was 101 due to a bird once.drcorey wrote:Not only the belt and strap system would have stopped the system.

I am surprise no one has mentioned this little indicator that the ride is not falling at the time the picture was taken:
Hair.
If the ride car had been falling at such a rate that the passenger would be "lifted" out of their seat, the other riders should have their hair flying up as well.

Several have mentioned that the picture is taken when you are stopped. Maybe they have changed when the picture is taken but we once dropped a coin and it was floating in the picture. I can't remember how many years ago that was though but it was sometime after the drop sequences became random (5 years ago perhaps.)

I can't speak for Florida's ride but the blog where this was posted said specifically that this was DCA. I know from experience that the picture is taken while stationary. As for your claim I find it highly unlikely you'd be able to see a penny in the air on the screen or printed in a final photo. My two cents.Anna wrote:Several have mentioned that the picture is taken when you are stopped. flat visions of misty places,
fragments bound below my surface,
but I can write dreams,
they flow from me,
inscribed but now unbound,
I touch them,
and they are real,
and they are real."

Those belts are really long. It's not hard to pull out more than you need, buckle them, and sit on the slack until the doors close.
Stupid. But not hard. And still doesn't explain the picture.

I notice that the hair wasn't moving too. Also there is no way that this picture would have made it thru the scanning CM. Obviously fake.PatchOBlack wrote:I am surprise no one has mentioned this little indicator that the ride is not falling at the time the picture was taken:
