My favorite question (asked everyday):
"Is this a movie or a ride?"
Note- the name of the attraction is the Great Movie Ride

Oh yeah, I totally left myself open for that one didn't I?
I had one of those once, ya know. Yup. And had a lady march up to me and put me on the spot to explain to her 3 year old why they couldn't fly using the little bottle of 'pixie dust' glitter we sold in the Stores.
I said, quickly "ummmmmm cause it's...used. Yup. Tink already used it, it's just pretty for us to look at but you CAN NOT fly with it, okay? Promise me you won't try to fly."
The kid seemed satisfied, the mother smiled and gave me a thumbs up and I wished that her mothering license could be revoked on account of sheer stupidity.
This was highly ironic, actually me being asked this question considering that as a child I found a black feather in the back yard and yup, you guessed it.
Top of a staircase...and...I tried it.
it's no wonder I'm the way that I am now.
I did land on my head.

Awww....but it was kinda cute (I hope).
Nice comeback on the pixie dust and flying...the lil guy probably did not believe Mom and a CM would never lie to him so....
Now imagine an adult couple coming up to you on the Tomorrowland bridge, point straight up at the cable hanging over their head, with small ears nearby, and ask, "What is that for anyway?"
"Prince Charming wanted ESPN and that was the only way he could get cable".
"Seriously, that is your story huh?"
"Yup, when he found out we owned it. Well Prince Charming had to have all 47 channels of ESPN..."
**picture of guests laughing shaking heads and moving away**
Lil man listening looks at Mom, "ESPN in the CASTLE!"
I nod at Mom and move quickly away...

MAPO that is an awesome story and answer! Just love the creativity.
Reminds me of a really funny and quick witted CM I met one day in Fantasyland after IASW had been repainted inside and I said to him, "So how long did that take you?" (the last word being added I'm sure after too much FL heat that day) he looked up, scratched his head and said "Well let's see, I started on a Friday..."
LOL
Last time St. March and I were in WDW together we were crammed into a crowd for Wishes and this guy who had obviously enjoyed a few spirited beverages before coming to the park and his GF were really loud talking about the wire, and when Tink appeared, he pointed to her and said REALLY loudly "Look, it's some guy in a dress!"
I looked up him from my wheelchair below (and he must've been able to feel me glaring because he actually turned and looked at me- okay he almost fell on me in his drunken state, but I digress) and I said through gritted teeth "No, that is TINKERBELL."
March still laughs about the way I said it. Even Drunkguy laughed and at least he shut his big yap.
GAH.
People.

drive across a cattle guard, music starts up, "sunshower" begins - a perfect gentle rainfall. Guest behind me tells her companion that there are sprinklers on the canopy of the truck, that the rain is part of the show. He disagrees but she is convinced. One of the buttons she can see in the cab makes it rain for them.
Music shuts off, drive across next cattle guard, rain stops.
That woman will never. Ever. believe that we just got rained on.

My dad was flying back east and shared a row with two little old ladies (LOL) who had never flown before. He was pointing out things on the ground when the pilot announced they would be crossing The Continental Divide (Mississippi River) in a few moments. One of the LOLs asked if there would be a bump when the plane crossed it. My dad said no.
The plane, of course, hit some disturbance when crossing the river which resulted in a bump. The LOLs didn't ask another question for the rest of the trip.

No problem Doc. I hope that you did not read my comment to be aimed at you, it wasn't.
However, my statement still holds true as many times on the bus going to Typhoon Lagoon, guests were bitching about rain. Huh! you are GOING to a WATER PARK, It's raining, SO WHAT!

LOL. I've used the Prince Charming/cable tv story, but never thought of the ESPN tie-in. I may need to borrow that line.
Also have used the Peter Pan-drew-a-line-in-the-sky-for-Tink story - that one really works great with little ones. The ESPN one is also a good alternative for adults, etc. :)
