Stupid Guest Tricks

Last time I was at WDW I left a $5.00 tip for the Mousekeeper every day. I left it with the wash cloth animal on the table in my room. When I returned after my first day at the parks there were two wash cloth animals on my table and double the shampoo and soap. Every day I left a $5.00 tip and most days there was an additional wash cloth animal and double the shampoo and soap. Since I was there 9 days my regular Mousekeeper had a couple of days off during my stay (no new wash cloth animals on a couple of days) so I'm guessing she was getting the tips and keeping them. My room was always well made up for me, I was by myself so I wasnt real messy to begin with. I say if you get good service leave a tip.

I also had the Dining plan and always had cash on hand to tip my servers. I recieved excellent service everywhere I ate and left $10.00 for every table service meal except one, dinner at the Yak & Yeti, the server was really excellent and he got $15.00.

Also, I always try to make it a point to speak the CM's, call them by name and thank them.

Clearly it's your fault they are so hard to sneak up on now, you tipped them too often and they started paying closed attention for tippers.

Same here, if offered and properly refused the required 3 times "No, No, No you don't have to do that" it goes in my pocket.(it's amazing how fast I can get out 3 no's :-) ) The point in training I was told is that you don't want to offend the guest.

Now the mousekeepers can't actually refuse the tip as they aren't there to do so but I believe it's the same thing. You leave the tip with a note saying it's for them, I would be offensive to the guest to refuse it.

I know and I love it. We ALWAYS tip 20% and our waiters love us. When we return they know what we like,drink and hate.
We always talk with them and ask about there life,families and problems.
A world of difference opens when you actually see the human being that serves you your food and not act like he is your personal slave.

CM, Mousekeepers are PEOPLE with FEELINGS treat them like humans and not as dogs or slaves.

Very very often I was tended to just hit someone who was yelling and cursing at a CM.
As for Mousekeeping we tip 5 dollars in the morning and again five dollars for turn down in the evening. JFYI we are very clean people with one suitcase and NO mess in out room.
