not discouraged
Re: not discouraged
After getting hired in, you start off with CR or CR-25 Casual Regular and work towards 25 hours, but then I could be wrong and get 16 hours.
Part-time: 25-30 hours.
Full-time: 30 to 40 hours.
It took me a while to get the info.
21 years and 22 years next month. :)

More than 40 hrs. when we are high count. Anything after 40 hrs. is OT. Full time CMs are always given more hrs. due to senority - if they request on prefs.turkeyham wrote: Part-time: 25-30 hours.

Re: not discouraged
I got hired as a full timer so that means 30-40 hrs? I've been so curious because I got the call at the end of January and I really know next to nothing. I know what park I'm working in and I know I'm full time and that's about it. I believe I get my start date on Friday-my recruiter told me that when I put my paperwork in I get the date for Traditions which will be my official first day.turkeyham wrote:After getting hired in, you start off with CR or CR-25 Casual Regular and work towards 25 hours, but then I could be wrong and get 16 hours.

I'd appreciate any help you guys can provide.

Please, my friends call me Patchy! I didn't see such a welcome, though I suppose I might have missed it. Of course, I'm just happy to be here!Whazzup wrote:Oh No, dear PatchOBlack, did you not get an official welcome from the Marsupials? They do not discriminate and if they have been remiss, I'm sure at least one of them will be along to welcome you with banners and signs and purple things.

Re: not discouraged
Maybe that's true at DLR but not at WDW. I know a number of CMs that started out FT. I trained with someone that started FT and the only reason I started as a CR is because there were no FT positions open at that exact moment in time.Main Streeter wrote:Whoa, you hired in FT?That's unusual. Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

And we're happy to have you here, too. If I come across one of the marsupials I will definitely give him an ear twist. ;)PatchOBlack wrote:Please, my friends call me Patchy! I didn't see such a welcome, though I suppose I might have missed it. Of course, I'm just happy to be here!
Re: not discouraged
In ODV, allot of the crew was hired at CR-25 and after 3 years, you can go to Part-time unless they need major amounts of help, FT might be offered.

Re: not discouraged
When I interviewed, the recruiter told me that there were no FT positions available and he gave me 24 hours to decide if I wanted PT. I thought it over, talked it over and scrambled my budget and said yes-hoping that I wouldn't have to be PT for long. So, I called him back and accepted. The next day he called and told me a FT slot had opened and I accepted.Main Streeter wrote:Whoa, you hired in FT?That's unusual. What L O B? I don't know what L.O.B. means...but I'm working attractions at typhoon lagoon.
