wierd day. I had rats in my cranberry sauce.

I still can't figure out how they get out of their cage when they see something they want...

Dang. Someone snapped a picture of me at the end of dinner and posted it online.

Wow, you really let yourself go, can you still perform in that condition?

We ended up going out for dinner because our turkey disappeared.

I still have about half my ham and a few canned sweet potatoes left; I'm glad I had some spices for the sweets, but wish I had some brown sugar too. What I miss most is my Uncle Larry making dinner for us, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas, with his special ham glaze. It was yellow or brown mustard, brown sugar, spices and butter, mixed together and spread on the ham and studded with whole cloves. He passed away from cancer two years ago--stupid VA doctors said he had a low-grade leukemia, turns out he had stage 4 colon cancer. Surgery, radiation and chemo just delayed the inevitable. He died on Christmas day.

Acouple of days ago, one of my roomies brought some cooked turkey home and shared it with me and another roomie. On Sunday at church, we're having a Thanksgiving lunch, so more turkey--hey, it's good for you! So Idid okay with my little ham.

Hey, Hobie, I'll bet you were surprised to have a "new lamp" around the same time your turkey disappeared. :D:

Apparently my landlady has been telling her family about Tripod; yesterday and the day before her sisters came over, bringing one of her nephews--different one each day--and of course they HAD to meet Tripod. Tripod did not appreciate the attention; she hissed and growled a bit when they petted her. They've had cats, so they are very respectful, but you'd think after my showing her off for the last 18 plus years, Tripod would learn to relax a bit. Of course, it's taken this long to get her semi-used to the idea of getting into the carrier for her twice-yearly vet visit.

If this keeps up, I just may have to start charging people to see her... :D: :p:
