Then you'd have some weird kid like me coming by multiple times, I love Bit-O-Honeys. :)

I ran out of candy early this year, two 30 count boxes of full size bars, and a bag and a half of smaller candy we bought as a backup. There were more "imports" (kids not from our neighborhood) that got candy than last year :/
I did manage to snag a beer from my neighbors cooler :D:

There were very few kids coming to our house. My landlord had some Hershey's Kisses; he gave them out for the first kid (who had the nerve to look in my bedroom window--lucky for him I was fully dressed and on the computer!), I handed them out for the remaining few. Gotta admit, they were the most polite kids I've ever seen. I don't think any were older than 6 or so; and I could swear there's more kids in this neighborhood than that. Must've been a Halloween party somewhere and they went to that instead.
Where are you getting Bit-O-Honeys? Haven't seen those in a while; the other day I was at 99 Cent Only and found Fizzies--blue raspberry and orange flavors only. The Vermont Country Store sells the rest of the flavors. We had those instead of Kool-Aid; wasn't until Fizzies went bye-bye that we started drinking Kool-Aid.
I remember one Halloween we went out, and one of our neighbors were cooking hot dogs on their barbeque, and that's what they were handing out. They were good hot dogs; we went on our way eating those hotdogs. No, we didn't get sick. Back then in the early-mid 60s, you rarely heard of anyone putting poison or dangerous objects in their candy they handed out.

I Love Bit-o-Honeys too! :)
Will email Hobie and ask him to post a pic of my Pumpkin for the yearly competition at work.....might seem familiar to some of you ;)
Went to DLR today, very nice day,and diverted SG line cutters at Haunted Mansion by telling them to wait at the pillars up front to rejoin their party....confused them so badly, they left!

Oh, you have that problem in TX, too? We have "imports" arriving by the Ford Econoline Van-load in our neighborhood. Went thru two Costco-size bags of the good stuff, and a couple of small bags of the crummy stuff. But no Bit-O-Honeys, Lady U!
"Bit-O-Honey goes a long, long way!
It's the chewy candy you don't have to chew,
Just pop 'em in your mouth
Till the nuts pop through!"
My sister and I didn't like them when we were kids so when we sang the jingle we would throw them across the yard when we sang the "long, long way" part.

Anyone remember the old SNL bit with Beldar and Primac from Planet Remulac? On Halloween they handed out six packs of beer, and I seem to remember buckets o' chicken too.
