Just remember to wash your hands after handling all those nasty handrails in the ride queues, and before and after you eat food, and of course after a trip to the loo.
Did I spell queue correctly? Too lazy to look it up.

I am thinking about buying masks for our plane trip to Orlando in December. I am weighing the "don't wanna look like a dork" vs "don't wanna be sick for a $3K vacation" situation. Perhaps if I wear my Minnie Mouse santa hat WITH the mask it will override the dork-dom.

I will have hand sanitizer on my person every second of the journey and wipe all regions of everything on the plane with disinfectant upon choosing my SWA seat. I hope the air wait staff doesn't take offense.

They may take offense at being called air wait staff.

"Too lazy to look it up," however, is not a full sentence.

remember kids, it takes 2 weeks post-shot to develop immunity......
Not for you if:
Allergic to eggs or other vaccine components
History of Guilliam-Barre Syndrome or certain other neurological diseases
people with asthma should not take Flumist.
Preservative-free Flu Vaccine available for Pregnant Women, kids 6-36mos or others who don't want preservatives.
Ask your Doctor for advice if any of these apply to you. :)

Love the Jessica smilie. And I thought that the up-the-nose flu vacine was live virus and thus began providing immunity right away.

I got my regular flue shot a couple of weeks ago and took the kiddos over the weekend. We'll be down there tomorrow and I'm making sure that everyone has their own bottle of purell and that we use it.

Hmmmm, will follow up on that one-maybe some level of immunity, but I believe the inhaled H1N1 vaccine requires 2 doses 3 weeks apart to provide full immunity-will take some time to develop immunity even if exposed as body needs time to manufacture antibodies, but do not know live vs. antigen parts used for injected vaccine differing in antibody response- will get back to you on that one. ;)

I officially have a friend who has swine flu, she wasn't feeling well so she stayed home from work and when she went to see a doctor, they obviously tested for it, and found it. She has a little bit more to worry about with it because she has asthma, but it doesn't look like it's going to be an issue because she went to the doctor early.
