Funny how flu epidemics usually have inaccurate names re: Spanish flu, swine flu, etc.. For example, the Spanish flu that swept the world in 1917-1918 didn't come from Spain, but was traced to a college campus in Kansas.
Another interesting note: in Israel, it's not called swine flu, it's called Mexican flu. Most flu viruses have their origin in China, but this one had its origin in Mexico--somebody can check and correct me if necessary.
The last time I heard about swine flu was back in the 70s, and it did affect swine, not people. I haven't heard of this flu being zoonotic in nature.
