If you are taking professional development courses or collegiate courses on your CP, then your working schedule will reflect that (not sure if DLRCP offers courses or not). During peak times expect around 50hrs per week.
Just an addition to this. This isn't actually the case for the DLR CP.

DLR CPs aren't guranteed any hours. In most Union roles, they're statused as CR (Part Time) with at least three years Seniority, and are scheduled hours based on that as part of the normal scheduling process. Guest Relations and PhotoPass are Hourly Non Union roles, so they technically don't have Seniority, but I would assume a similar arrangement is in place there.

I remember CPs in my old work areas fretting because they were only getting 20-28 hours on the posted schedule during the off season, and couldn't pick up extra hours.

When I worked Pier (before the whole Wall-Land concept came into being), our CPs usually got 5 days full of 4 hour closing shifts. Then again, most of DCA was a closing shift, even in the morning... Making availability wide open can do wonders for your schedule, but only after Seniority has had its effect.

Correct. I figured there would be some differences, but my info was based solely on the WDWCP.
Monorail_Red wrote:Again this is just based on the WDWCP and I hope that some of this information will be helpful to you...

Don't let the other CPs talk you into goofing off. Treat it like you would a full-time job and you will be fine. M_R is right though, you can expect to get some hours if they need them. I think Disney kinda realizes that you CPs don't have much to do on your off time, so they schedule this inconvenience (days off) out of your life. :D:

Also remember that it is "at will" employment for the WDWCP anyway, but it may be like that for all employment under the mouse...

But like SpeedFreak said just don't goof off too much and take it as a full time job and you will do great.

of course, i will only engage in pre-approved disney goofing off, including (but not limited to)
-goofy faces while cleaning my work area
-pretending i'm a flamingo whenever possible
-not swimming in any of disneyland's and california adventures many waterways.

:)

in reality, i'm such a goody two-shoes. i like to think of myself as a BAMF (<---bad word) but i've had two bosses (of the three, not much experience) cry when i left them and both asked me to not let anyone take advantage of me.

Just Teasing!!!!!! :o: I think Letterman handled it right, and doubt it wasn't a consensual thing. What was that guy who was trying to blackmail him thinking? They need to start adding Prozac to our H2O supply

As loopy as Dave can be some times, he's never hit me as the type who'd back down from a fight. Plus, he's worth about $500 mil, so he's got resources the blackmailer can only dream about.

I liked the lawyer's spin about how it's a very complex story. Yeah, complex in how are you gonna defend yourself with no job and alimony doing a Hoover on your wallet.
