Wait...you were in Anaheim and didn't go to DLR? What were you thinking?

Don't you remember this thread that Zazu started?

Zazu, I'm glad that you and SWMBO had an otherwise good trip. Sorry to hear about the issues with the car and loss of luggage. Glad you were able to find time to let me take you to lunch. :D:

I manged to speak to the same person who rented me the bogus car when I returned the second rental. Ripped her a new one I did, even explained the concept of "Show Ready". She was mostly apologetic, but blamed other departments for delivering her a dirty car.

She made a call to get permission, then handed me a voucher good for $100 off my *next* car rental.

I looked at it with a confused expression, then asked, "And... Avis will honor this?"

I empathize with you over your car rental follies. We've had similar experiences as to show ready with Dollar our last two trips to WDW. After the episode with the check in person trying to tell me the GPS locator was missing when I didn't even know there was one.( In this case I think it's to know if you took the car out of state) I've become very suspicious of car rental outlets in general.

Sorry about Underwear and Crocs :( Zazu....
Does your historical society focus on trains/train stations?
just wondering.

Wait.... you were in Pensacola and you didn't even wave? What were you thinking??

But I'll forgive you since you experienced such misadventures on your journey.

It's an historical society. Genealogy, heraldry, chivalry, orders of knighthood, royalty & nobility, and ancient & medieval history. Much fun!

I was thinking that you wouldn't want to sit through a meeting with one of our members while we talk about heraldry and knighthood.

That plus I had to do all the driving to cover 7700 miles in 19 days. Sadly, there were many interesting locations we just had to roll. Nothing personal, I assure you.
