I see you were as impressed as I was being near Dick Van Dyke. I actually did speak to him last year at the Komen Walk, to ask him for a photo of him with my friend. He was very nice to agree.
Had to resist singing Mary Poppins songs to him. ;)
Ha! Oftentimes when I meet Disney characters I'll burst into songs from their movies. So far they only act delighted when I do so (though I suppose it could be just the frozen expression on their faces, and the CM working with the character is mortified?). With D.V.D., I guess I was a bit too star-struck -- and also looking for an opening to talk to him -- that singing didn't pop into mind.

I think it would have been delightful to have you and VM burst into a Poppins song for him! :)

Wombat, all you have posted is very cool! Can't stop reading :) Ya know, I'd do anything to see/ meet Dick Van Dyke. He is one class act! Watched Mary Poppins at a back yard BBQ the other night & found the magic in that film incredible - once again. Never realized he played the old banker who died laughing. What a movie! What amazing talent all had! Didn't know Dick had his own quartet either. Thank you Wombat

You were spared uniforms & rulers. Rulers & evil looks along with dangling crosses were an incentive.

Ktulu, don't get on here & trash talk me, unless you can take it. :waves: :whistlng:
