Sounds like that blow on the head from when the overhead luggage bin opened up during a hard landing might have caused internal bleeding/pressure on the brain. DisneyMom - can you expound on this?

I didn't read that part, but certainly someone can have a small slow bleed in the brain and have it end up being fatal- also, there is a small artery to the brain that can become lacerated during an accident/injury that can also have the same effect. :(
I have a older relative who is currently rehabilitating from a fall/traumatic brain injury- blow to the BACK of the head caused bruising/bleeding to the FRONT of the brain- He had fallen while alone doing work at neighbor's home-
SIL found him not feeling well and he didn't even remember that he had fallen
Bleeding on back of head discovered at Urgent Care, then ambulance to hospital for CAT Scan. He is still suffering from severe vertigo, but we are thankful he got treatment in time.

Bob is my brain filtering Ed McMahon through my fingers as Bob Barker... How I managed to do that I have no idea...
...and as I'm pretty sure Bob Barker is, in fact, alive...
Yeah, I have no idea why those particular wires crossed. *blush*
