Stupid Guest Tricks

If somebody handed me a bunch of wet bills, I would keep a can of Lysol spray under the counter, and bring it out and spray the wet money thoroughly, while glaring at them and saying, "You honestly don't expect me to touch money covered with your body fluids, do you?" in a loud enough voice to ensure embarrassment.

And if a guest were to try to tell me how to run things, I'd tell them, "Sounds like a great idea--but I don't work for you. Besides, if you want me to be your employee, you'd have to give me an actual living wage, which around here is about $25/hr., plus you'd have to treat me with respect because after all, I'm a human being, and besides if you don't, karma is a real b*tch. By the way, where does it say on your admission ticket/annual pass that you have been granted the right to order employees around like you own the place, which you most certainly do not?"

Well, I guess that explains Knotts Berry Farms declining popularity. Just kidding. I know it is tempting to say stuff like that, but only if you really don't want to keep your job.

I once read this story about this girl who ran away from home when she was a teen, and to support herself she waitressed in a coffee shop. This was back in the 40s/50s, I believe, and one time when a customer got fresh with her, she scalded him with hot coffee. Apparently, she managed to keep her job. She did eventually move on to bigger and better things, though I read that so long ago that I don't recall where she went after that. But she was one of those people who wouldn't let anyone push her around. She was definately her own person.

Back in my cashier days, there was this large middle-aged woman who seemed to come into my convenience store solely for the the purpose of yelling at her diminutive husband.
One day she payed for ten dollars worth of gas all in change, and said, "sorry about all the pennies." I being a professional, said nicely through gritted teeth, "It's okay, we can always use change." Total lie.
She then proceeds to go, "Oh, really? Then here you go," and empty her entire purse on my counter. She counted out another 2-3 dollars worth of pennies on my counter and had me change them out for bills while the line behind her just got bigger.
Mind you, I was sixteen and very scared of this large, angry woman who apparently had the strength to haul around 20 pounds of spare change every day. I just rolled my eyes and started serving customers around her.
Now, of course, I'm older and angrier. She'd get pennies up her nose if she pulled that these days.

I was told by the Orange County Health dept, that is a SG pulls money out of their shoes, socks or stinky wet bras, it is a health code violation. I also have refused to take the money and made SG made. Who knows where your deadly foot smell has been lurking?

I hate to be the Kill Joy... but... According to federal regulations... a place of business can not refuse any legal form of payment ( I.E. coins )

The one way around this is by saying that it must be rolled properly...

Incorrect. That law only applies for debt. A business can refuse whatever they want. Now if you owe the city money for a parking ticket.... :twisted:

Like the guy that paid the IRS with T-shirt. He took a black marker and on a T-Shirt wrote his bank info and everything exactly the way a check would look and sent it to the IRS... They cashed it.

I used to work nights at a grocery store. There were a few strippers that lived nearby, so they would often stop in. One night one of them hands me a bunch of one dollar bills (okay, they always handed me a bunch of 1's) and said "those have been all over my sweaty body, you can sniff them if you want." When she left I called the manager up so I could go wash my hands. This was before hand sanitizer was around every corner.
