Rec CM's have a varied role... if you have been to a Disney Water Park and have seen someone in blue... they are not lifeguards... they are Rec CM's.

Rec CM's can be slide OP's, Camp Fire and movie counselor at a resort, boating assistant ( renting boats ), rent bikes, rent horses, work putt-putt and golf courses, rent fishing equipment, etc..... looking at the guest tab on the hub... you could do anything and everything under the sun... these positions are fun.... but keep in mind... you could be deployed anywhere.

i am cross trained in Food and Beverage, F/B Cashier, Merch, Attractions ( T-Land - Stitch ) Monorails, Carts, ODF, Stands, Audiance Control ( Wishes, Main Street, and Fantasmic ) Club Greater ( Former P.I. Trained ) etc.... they all have their ups and downs... questions is... What have you always wnated to do at WDW... and shoot for that!!

If you like roller coasters then shoot for Sunset OP's where you will get ToT, RnR, Beauty and the Beast, and Fanatasmic trained along with DHS Audiance Control for HSM3, Block Party Bash, and more ( which are daily AC position for DHS - Sunset cast )

If you like the atmospher of Main Street USA then you will see Tains, Old Timey Vehicles, Main Street PAC, Turnstyles, Wicshes AC, Mi-Si-Ci ( Move It Shake It Celebrate It ) AC, the infamouse ( yes i know how i spelled it ) 3 o'clock parade AC, amongst others.

PM with you dream location and ill give you the scoop on it.

I'm so confused. What time is the 3 O'Clock Parade?

In this case, AC = Audience Control.

Recreation probably shows up as other things, like Lifeguard and such. If you intend to stay with Disney after your program then Recreation can be a really, really neat way to go... but shoot for Monorails. Like me, if you're anywhere that you see a Monorail going overhead while working elsewhere, then you'll wish you'd been there.

Start with Monorails, then go on to something else.

I'll be putting in a good word for you, and after you tell a manager your holdpoints, they will too!

OK, I hate to dig up an old thread but another question came to mind about the WDWCP.

For thoes that work while going to school that have either done the program or are about to, were your employers willing to let you take a personal leave for that long? If so, how did you sell them on it?

Yes. I had a job at my dad's work. They were willing to let me go to Disney over the summer for the 2 alumni programs.
