For the record, CMs can access details about the various phases of park closing on The HUB.

I can't imagine that big of a crowd!!

of course, all the times I visited was in the September/October time frame!

I do remember one year, riding in the cab of the monorail and the driver tellimg us that during memorial day weekend he was driving the monorail, and as he passed over the loop through Epcot to the station, you could not see ANY pavement because of the crowd!

(we were glad that work prevented me from taking vacation during peak times at WDW!! hehehehe)

I was in the Magic Kingdom a few weeks ago (St. Patrick's Day) with the whole fam damily, and the place was as you described it. For the first time, we had to FastPass Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin and it was like arms and legs everywhere. I think even the FastPass machines for the restrooms ran out! :p:

I know WDW is running some very generous hotel promotions, in addition to the "What will you celebrate?" campaign, but I wonder what else is driving this crazy attendance level? I saw the huge crowds and thought, "Gosh, the economy must be terrible - no one wants to go to Disney anymore!"

I worked St. Patty's Day and I assure you that it was worse yesterday, a lot worse. I'm not sure we even reached Phase Closing crowds on St. Patty's Day but if we did it was only Phase 1 or 2, not Phase 4. From what I've read we haven't had a Phase 4 closing in a long time.

I think they phase 4'ed again today. Learned some information from a certain bird today- When they hit phase 4, they no longer board the monorail or boats. At a certain point, a guard is even put on the walkway between contemp and the bus area. At this point, if you are found by the gate you are pointed to the monorail to exit.

I heard the highest we got today was Phase 2. This was from a fellow CM so may not be accurate, just what I heard.

I asked a manager and she said we got to Phase 4 yesterday.

Want to talk about killer lines. A few days ago I believe it was Monday Disneyland was busy. Walking through Critter Country and heading towards Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh....The line for Splash Mountain was 1 hour, the fast pass line was 45 minutes. When I walked up to the Haunted Mansion, it was closed. Pirates had a 30 minute wait and BTRR had a wait of 45 minutes.

I heard that the parks out here will probably feel the crunch today until next week as well.

I know when they have all the over flow parking lots are full, you know it will be bad at the parks.
