Used it on a patient's oxygen tubing once to discourage psycho kitty, worked like a charm! :D:
Unknown if safe for kids.....
HEHEHEHEE
We used that for the Grumpy pups when we first rescued them. They advanced to the chewing stage rather fast!

Well, they did get a pair of DW's lands' end slippers, so it wasn't too bad.
WE finally got them a bunch of the nylabones. Which they routinely destroy!
(the plastic toys last about one to two hours! ARRRRRRRgghggh!)

Oh, and both were sleeping through the night by the time they were 3 months old.
Abby was sleeping through the night at 2 months, Paige at one. Paige only sucks her thumb when she is really tired, so I don't foresee this as a huge problem.
Fast forward 15 years when I am asking for advice on how to get a 15 year old to stop sucking her thumb...

Hey, if you can get through the teenage years without
you curling up in a ball and sucking
your thumb, you'll be okay.

No kidding. I'm on my last one with only 2.5 years to go.

My oldest (now 18) liked a pacifier, but at 6 months didnt like it anymore. My youngest (now 16) Sucked her thumb when tired all the way until she was in 7th grade. Used to freak me out a bit, thank heavens she doesnt need braces. No one ever sucked on toes/feet. I tried tabasco and lemon. She likes lemon now. :(
I tried lots of things but when it came down to it she was done when she was done.

I was a thumb sucker. According to my parents, I never liked the pacifier... but I told my parents in nursery school, when they told me to stop sucking it, that I would stop when I was in Kindergarten, and I did.
