you can see houses in different shows and props and stuff.
heck, look what Star Trek did in the days, they needed a prop,
so they raided the lunchroom. thats how they got the phasors,
someone took the salt and pepper shakers from the lunchroom,
the rest is history.

At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Woo! Help! Yay!Zazu wrote:Yes. Ideally, each unique species should have a specific way to kill each other species.
Unless there are only two species (or one) in which case you should try for variety.
But yes, two strangulations does sound to me like you have been inadequately creative.
For instance, is there any chance these are giant *electric* penguins who could electrocute their prey? It would solve the problem of them not having fingers. Plus the effect needed is simple: just switch quickly back and forth between positive and negative images.
And yeah, I have done consulting for Hollywood films, so don't be shy to ask.
It's meant to be intentionally bad, so creativity is not to big of an issue, but I do like the electrocution effect, thnak you! It's actuall quite amazing how much strangulation there is in some of those B-movies. I'm using clips and dialouge from "Plan 9" (It's public domain!) and "Robot Monster", but there are other homages throughout. The president has a speech in which I have snuck in the titles of various films...teeheehee!
The Plot, in a nutshell-
So if any big Hollywood (or is it Burbank) producers are hiding out there, make my movie and give me credit! Before and after my film there will be some trailers, and then my friend is directing a 70s grindhouse-style zombie movie. If anyone has makeup tips, they're greatly appreciated!Noctourne's Script wrote:Antarctica, some time in the 50s- Spys from the Soviet Union have set up a base to do atomic testing on the penguins. Right when it seems like they've succeeded, another spy comes running in to tell Dr. Boris and Dr. Natasha that the penguins have secaped and are terrorizing the base! Suddenly, a penguin bursts in and (because Zazu's idea is awsome) cut off the power to the room, electrocuting everyone. Meanwhile, aliens are above in their flying saucer. It is revealed that they have followed the nuclear activity and are now using the penguins as puppets to take over the world! UFOs are seen everywhere, and the president orders the army to shoot. Later, a girl and her friends are having a sleepover. Two girls go downstairs to get more food, but are shot by a penguin with a laser gun! The next day, Annie goes to her friend Charlie Jones's house to tell him what happened. They go to Charlie's father, Dr. Jones, to see if he can tell them what is going on (he's a scientist after all). He tells them about the Soviets, and the three friendly Americans go to the UFO where the aliens are hiding. The aliens rant about the dangers of nukes, and finally Charlie yanks a cord that blows up the spaceship. Everything seems back to normal, but as Annie and her friend from the sleepover hug, a penguin appears behing them with a big "?" superimposed over the screen.

RUM!!
Ya' know, with a little rum ANY Movie looks good except maybe "Istar". The only way that dog would look good is if you poured rum on the negative and set it on fire.

Did you know Istar is Arabic for Heaven's Gate?TdcOgre wrote:Ya' know, with a little rum ANY Movie looks good except maybe "Istar". The only way that dog would look good is if you poured rum on the negative and set it on fire.

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.
