I have a different take. encourage him to write DISinformation. if enough SG's read it, and take it as gospel, then they will go elsewhere on vacation and make more opportunity for the rest of us to have a good time!!!
And they few that still go after believing one source, well, we can post their adventures we observe here on SGT!!!

I understand your viewpoint, what I am trying to say is that it was stated as a sarcastic remark and meant how unpleasent he actually found the experience, not the other way around. Better worded would have been...gee, thanks for the retina burning experience of having to see your kid naked. Cover them up!mechurchlady wrote:I think it is weird that a man would exult about the view of buck naked kids. People on this board have complained about naked kids at the parks and they do not exult but do grumble, gripe and complain but do not exult over naked kids.
I'm just saying...let's not read more into it then is actually there. No reporter would publish a serious statement about how he thought looking at a naked kid was a pleasant thing unless he was tired of having a career. Come on, it was meant sarcastically not literally.

And I would say that 99% of people call it Cinderella's Castle. In fact is it stupid on Disney's part to call it Cinderella castle. It is in fact Cinderella's castle. Saying Cinderella Castle is saying the name of the castle is Cinderella, when in fact Cinderella is the name of the person that lives in the castle.jsilvers wrote:
- The "savvy staffer" claims to have seen a "little girl lost and crying, wandering helplessly around Cinderella's castle." For starters, that's "Cinderella Castle" - apparently the "savvy staffer" didn't check the Disney website or a park map to verify the name. And he gets bonus points for, by his own account, staring at the girl instead of finding a CM. (This isn't a "real" story that requires a reporter to be impartial. Do something to help the frightened child, you twit!)

Thing is, Cinderella is the name of the castle and the name of the person who lives in in. Strange but that's how it is. Same with Sleeping Beauty Castle.PapaMouse wrote:And I would say that 99% of people call it Cinderella's Castle. In fact is it stupid on Disney's part to call it Cinderella castle. Even some CMs call it Cinderella's Castle. In Uptown back in the pin section we have bins to hold our stock of pins. Each pin is labeled with what kind of pin is in there. One bin is labeled "Cinderella's Castle". The other day I grabbed my pin and crossed out the 's part. Calling is "Cinderella's" is a pet peeve of mine as the castle doesn't belong to her but named after her.
Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

Wouldn't it be funny if it was a puncuation error, back when they were naming things?Shorty82 wrote:Thing is, Cinderella is the name of the castle and the name of the person who lives in in. Strange but that's how it is. Same with Sleeping Beauty Castle.

So what's the point of the story? I think the last two paragraphs sum it up.
I wonder if he had a park map for this trip? By getting lost between BTMR and HM, I would guess not. And just how hard is it to get a park map? Fairly easy for me, but I guess Mr. Vogel finds simple tasks like picking up a (FREE) piece of paper with good information to be strenuous, problematic and... let's see if I can find a word he'll understand... difficile.
Personally, I think this article was written to show how adroit he is with a thesaurus than to give any good or useful information.
I would send this thread to the Washington Post, but I am afraid I might bruise little Mr. Vogel's big ego.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

I wonder if he even made the trip, lol. Anyone could make up a trip to WDW if they were vague enough.
