This is really fun to watch. So here's a question that, if you get it right, I'm going to wonder why you're not driving a Monorail yourself.

Regarding the Beam Contacts, or more precisely "Beam Contact Latches", what do we do with trains on a daily basis that sets them off?

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Gonna correct PapaMouse's quiz, and thereby give a score key. Red text is mine.
Now for a few trivia questions of my own. Pilots, please 10-23.

1) How long is each Monorail at Walt Disney World?
203 Feet 6 Inches (6 cars)
Correct.

2a) How many cars did the Mark IV Monorails originally have?
5 cars, Later some Mark IVs had a 6th car added.
Correct

2b) How many cars did the Mark IV Monorails have when they were decommissioned?
6 cars
Correct

2c) Which Monorail did not have that extra car?
Silver because of the fire?
Right reason, wrong train. Gold because at the time of the Signal 25, Silver already had the extra car. Gold's car 6 went to Silver instead of Gold, and they never replaced it.

3) How many wheels are on the Mark VI Monorail?
12 load tires and 48 guide tires for a total of 60 tires/wheels. The tires are nitrogen-filled to reduce the possibility of fire. They also have run-flat capability and can last 100,000 miles in normal operation. Maximum speed for these tires is 65 mph and the load capacity of these tires are 12,800 pounds each at maximum inflation. The guide tires help to steer the suspension in 3 deg in each direction.
Many of your stats are correct, except the guide tires. The total is 124

4) What is the term that we Monorail pilots use to describe regular operation? Normal Visual

5) On the Epcot beam, when you are travelling from TTC to Epcot, you pass a runway and a lake on the left side of the Monorail's forward motion. What are their names, respectively? What is the importance of that runway?
I do not know the name, but the runway is where Walt would land his plane during the building and surveying of the land for WDW. it is currently used for bus parking I believe.
Walt never had the chance to land his plane there, however I understand that many of his executives did land there to avoid going through any of the airports in the area, so as to not create a media stir any earlier than they had to

6) How many ways are there to exit a Monorail car?
3. Doors, Emergency Window Hatch, Emergency Roof hatch
Correct. Not the answer I was looking for, but I should have been more specific. Four doors, two Zip windows, two roof hatches, making a total of 8.

7) What part of the Monorail is a Disney Trademark?
Near the door of the cab is the old Disney "D" logo Image
The nose cone. The common name is the Learjet nosecone for its look

8a) What is the top speed of a Disney Monorail?
A Mark VI can reach speeds of 100 MPH, but they are limited to MAX speed of 55 MPH at WDW and Drivers are not to go over 40-45 MPH
Correct. I am only able to get the train to go faster than 45 in one place. On flat, level grade, I can't make it go over 40.

8b) What is the top speed of a Monorail according to Bombardier?
100MPH
Correct

9) What are the colors of the stripes that identify the Monorails?
Original colors: Red, Orange, Pink, Gold, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Silver, Black Added colors: Lime, Coral
Nicely done. That's gotta be worth extra credit.

10) At what resorts might you have to sign paperwork stating that Disney has the right to use part of the land to build a Monorail line at their option?*
AKL?
Any of the Vacation Clubs, except maybe Bay Lake Tower as the Monorail already exists at the resort that it's a part of.

11) At most, how many people can be operating a Monorail at one time in the United States? Fewer than 20. Twelve at WDW, 2 in Seattle and up to 4 at Disneyland.

12a) How high is the highest point on the Monorail? 40' AGL

12b) How low is the lowest? 6' AGL

13a) How many power settings are there on the console? 5

13b) How many brake settings are there on the console? 4
