Where are the CM's?
Re: Where are the CM's?
But then again, I LOVE to make magic, and you do have SOME cool guests.
I had a couple come to my window last week. On their honeymoon after their "partner" ceremony, spending 2 weeks here in SoCal, who wanted 8 day park hoppers. Really nice girls. They asked me for the tickets, and when I told them the price, the one looked at the other and said "see, we should have bought them at the hotel--they're cheaper. Let's just go back to the hotel and buy them there." The other girl just stated she didn't want to waste time going back, and was just going to buy them with me. So I asked how much they were at the hotel, and they were still more expensive then what I could do if I gave them the online price--and when they gave me the money for the tickets, I sold them the online tickets, and gave them the $100 back that they saved and told them to have a "Congratulations" dinner on Mickey and sent them to have fun in the parks... Of course, I did make them sign the tickets, so they couldn't sell them to other guests for an upgrade later, but they didn't flinch and were more than happy to do so.
Mickey got his money, the guests were happy, and I got to make a little magic.. which is the BEST part of my job!!
And the Australian guest who called me at 330am HER time to make sure she could get Fantasmic seats for her entire group--she and hubby were paying to take his family on this trip, and she wanted to have Fantasmic seats AND she wanted to book the "Discover the Magic" tour-- for 15 people. So I booked her Fantasmic tickets, only the day she wanted DTM, wasn't a normal tour day. I called over to the tour gardens lead, and asked if this was something that could be done--only to find out that between myself and the tours lead, that management okayed the tour for the guest. Guest then emailed the tour lead and asked if she could bring us anything from Australia-- and I asked if she would come over to the building so that I could meet her when she got here. I'm looking forward to New Year's Eve when she comes to the parks... :D: :D:

Good stories Pattiment! Keep 'em coming.

I don't think anyone's toes have been stepped on, just that a lot of CM's have been very busy. I know I have. You have no reason to be sorry.

Re: Where are the CM's?
Hmm, are they afarid of posting here because of real or imagined retribution?
Its no secret that some of the, err, higher ups may browse different web sites to see comments, would SGT be any different?
I joined this web site because even though my profession is sort of the opposite of that of a CM, (A do not make my "customers" happy!) I do like the fact that when dealing with any group of the public, the SG in them somehow creeps through!!
I like the fact that after reading about encounters with SG's, that most CM's can maintain their objectiveness is doing their job, and maybe get a little support here by venting about the morons that trapse about with little or no clue that they are not the center of the universe, even though they believe they are.
I like the fact that they have an inner dialog that they share with us about encounters with SG's, despite the fact that if they uttered the words they so much want to, to these silly and overbearing people, that management would terminate them with little or no thought. They are not saying to them what we would say in a similar situation!
I like the fact that MOST of the non-CM's that post here would like to be a CM, (come on, admit it!!!) but because of career and/or location realize that it can never be.
Hot buttered RUM?

Re: Where are the CM's?
I've come to the conclusion, after being found by several of the members here, that my managers probably know exactly who I am. As I said to someone else, I write like I speak, and (usually) have boundless energy on the platform. So if you come to a Monorail platform and wonder if that crazy guy over there is Big Wallaby, chances are that the answer is yes.GRUMPY PIRATE wrote:Hmm, are they afarid of posting here because of real or imagined retribution?

The big thing is that you don't post things that you wouldn't want your managers knowing you posted, because they can figure it out eventually. For me, it's not an issue. I post what I believe and know, and the day that's something I don't want my managers to know, it's time to leave.
Sure, I have a manager here or there that I don't trust or whatever, but that's not something to talk about here. Sure, I talk about things that annoy me, but my managers know I feel that way. If they get on here, they're not really going to find out anything new about me that they could not have at least concluded by conjecture.
I'm still around, so hopefully that means they like me, at leat enough to keep me.

Well, even if they don't keep you, BW, we will! Except, the pay here is not as good.

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

Earlier this year, the other theme park board KBFDrama, went over to MySpace to become a community. The last time I checked, there was almost no activity. Of course, some freak going by the name of J&Z attacks everybody who posts there, supports Knott's, and in general has gotten on everybody's ignore list. I hope he never comes here.
Really sad, because KBFDrama was actually fun, a great way to get back at the guests and management who made our lives miserable. We could get creative in what we could say about Knott's and its (mis)mangement, and by using K's for Knott's, and other codes, we felt we were putting one over on the clods running the park into the ground. Somebody tried to crash the boards as "Kickass Matt", but was quickly uncovered as a company spy. You should've seen his one and only post--it was so lame as to be laughable.
