BW, I somehow remember that story. I think you told me, but I'm not sure.

Anywho, I had a similar story to that dealing with the Poly platform.

I "literally" got my monorail a key a week when I first worked at the Poly station. My platform was empty and the monorail was getting ready to leave. I was closing the last gate when I literally had a Guest that wanted his whole family to get on "that" one. I polietly told him "I'm sorry sir, this monorail is preparing to leave, the next one will only be a few minutes away." He tired to persuate me, but as soon as the monorail doors were closing, I closed the gate. Literally two seconds after I closed the gate, that guest was speaking in a foreign language really loudly (and probably saying a few obscenities in that language). The rest of the family was looking at him and saying "it's not a big deal man, chill out."

So about maybe 3 minutes later the next monorail comes in and I go open the gates. I kid you not, that guest literally open up his own gate and was standing right by the doors. As soon as I was about to say something, the doors opened and approx. 20 people walked out in front of him. I hear the family laughing at him.

To this day, I really dislike working that station for some weird reason.

I thought it was interesting how "Lightstick Lady' was so eager to talk to a supervisor, but as soon as one came and had the situation explained to him, she all of a sudden decided to shut up. Now if only all the other SGs would do that.

I take it Monorail Jerk got plowed into and knocked down or close to it by the guests. He deserved to be trampled.

Then he probably asked for comp for the injuries by the rioting crowds. I have seen people piling into a ride vehicle while the guests are exiting but I wonder what would have happened if he had tripped and went over the edge. LAWSUIT.

I have a great story: A friend of mine who has worked for Disneyland for 35 yrs told me that there was a guest cutting in line in front of other guests. My friend, "Amy" wasn't sure if she did so on purpose or not, so she rushed over and said, "Can I help you?" SG said "Stop smiling at me!" "Amy" says, "Ma'am, Disneyland pays me to smile!" SG reads nametag and says, "Listen, 'Amy from Anaheim', get out of my face! I'm going to file a complaint about you!"

Here's the complaint as received at City Hall:

"Amy rushed over to me, smiling."

It was "Amy's" first guest complaint in 35 years.

My parents told me, inpatient SG makes a SG. Let them look stupid and it will dawn on them later that they are the dumbest people on earth.

I meant, a dead guest. Do something that is just not called for and you are in trouble big time.

I used to get this a lot at the Railroad stations.

"This gate will NOT be opening, only the gate at the far end will be opened. Please move down."

"Do I have to move down?"

"No ma'am, you can stand right here if you like. You just won't be getting on the train."

And yet, I had some guests who stood by that first gate for as many as three trains waiting for it to open!

"Gobble, gobble!" :turkey:

hehehehehe

that reminds me of when we were getting on the train at WDW, the Toontown station. we get there as the train is pulling in, and there is a single line from the gate, along the fence, and through the turnstile nearest the train.

We go through the left hand turnstile and walk up to the gate area. and an SG said as we walked by her, "there is a line", without breaking stride, I said, "WHY? this whole area is a waiting area!" we went up and borded the train when the gate opened. (some of the other guests figured it out and move up from the "line" behind us) hehehehehehehe
