Stupid Guest Tricks

Today on the way to work, I was driving down Katella. There was a truck that was speeding and drifting out of lanes. There was a red blinking light at Walker, the stupid truck driver ran the light almost causing a crash in front of him. These type of truck drivers should be banned from the roads.

I used to have a slide that I used at the start of almost all presentations when I worked for the Federal Court system:

Three Definitions:

Ignorance - A lack of knowledge (This is curable)

Stupidity - Ignorance coupled with an unwillingness to learn (Many people consider this a capital crime)

Stupid Question - One which you do not ask because you are afraid it will show ignorance

And often I was asked (especially by Clerks of Court) if they could have a copy of the slide.

A friend-of-a-friend was convinced that Rock n Rollercoaster at WDW didn't go upside down, that "the ride just MAKES you think you went upside down..."

I know it doesn't, but my stomach still tries to exit my body via my mouth...

I can seriously tell that Rock'n'roller coaster has a loop. My sister, Big Wallaby, Shorty82 and I got the front car on the coaster. There is a loop folks. ;)

Well, there is only very highly-banked curve during the backwards portion that if you're on either end of the train it does feel pretty close to going upside down. And without any kind of a reference point, it's hard to tell just what happened.
I'll bet it's what, in coaster terminology, is called an "overbanked turn". It's not an inversion, but it's a turn that is banked so steeply that it's actually a little beyond 90 degrees. (So when you're at the maximum banked part, your head is pointing sideways and ever so slightly angled toward the ground.) These types of curves give quite the G-force sensations in the front of the train as it's pushed into the curve, and the back of the train as it's pulled through the curve.

Shorty82, Big Wallaby, my sister and I have been on it. We got our pictures taken on it. They get your picture as it comes out of the 1st loop. If you leave your eyes open during this, you will see the the corkscrew first and 2 loops later through the ride. The loops are there.

Actually, the loop is first. It launches you straight into the loop. The corkscrew and the other inversion (can't remember the type) are after.
